1/5 Stars - Blatant Dishonesty, Aggressive Management, and Stolen Belongings If you think spending thousands of dollars to stay at a "luxury" Disney Deluxe resort guarantees you basic security or respect, think again. My experience at Disney’s Riviera Resort was a masterclass in managerial incompetence, aggressive staff, and flat-out theft. During my stay, I ordered DoorDash twice with zero issues—both orders were dropped off at the front desk and handed over. The third time, I ordered $100 worth of specialized water bottles. The delivery driver explicitly dropped them off at the front desk, took a clear confirmation photo of them sitting right there, and marked the order delivered. I walked down to the lobby exactly 7 minutes later. The packages were gone. When I asked for them, the front desk staff boldly claimed they didn't have them and spun a pathetic excuse that "policy" dictates deliveries go somewhere else. Let’s look at the absolute lack of logic here: if that is the policy, why did the driver take a photo of the items at the front desk? And why did my first two orders sit at the front desk completely unbothered? The math isn't mathing. Someone is lying through their teeth, and it looks a lot like an inside job by the staff. Meanwhile, right next to this circus, the hotel has a bellhop service with four or five guys just standing around doing absolutely nothing. If Disney is looking to cut costs, they could probably save a fortune by getting rid of half these employees—they clearly don't do anything useful except stand around and apparently make water bottles disappear instead of delivering them to your room. To make matters worse, because the driver took a photo proving delivery to the desk, DoorDash refuses to refund me. I am stuck paying for items that Disney staff made vanish. On top of being out the money, dealing with this orchestrated disaster caused me to miss scheduled appointments inside Disney World, completely ruining my day. Instead of trying to help a guest who just had their property disappear from under their noses, they summoned a small army of managers to come over and do absolutely nothing. They made a lot of noise, but provided zero solutions. The first-line manager called over was shockingly confrontational and downright rude—an unbelievable way to treat a paying customer. When the situation escalated, Duty Manager Lynn Jordan was brought out. Lynn Jordan offered absolutely nothing but a wall of pathetic excuses as to why none of this was the resort's fault. No empathy, no solutions, just corporate gaslighting. Disney Riviera handles your expensive belongings with zero care, lets them walk off, and then berates you when you call them out on it. They cost me my money, my property, and my time. Save your thousands of dollars and stay somewhere where the staff won't rob you and yell at you for complaining about it. Absolute trash service.

It was our first time traveling with a baby and our 6 year old. The room was extremely small but it states it sleeps 5 people. We had no room to move around in the room with all the furniture and the pack and play and all our luggage. It was definitely not enough space. Service could have been better. Originally we were told by DVC that they would have an infant bathtub available and they did not. There was also no bottle warmer or diaper genie as we were told there would be. They stated it’s only at certain hotels after we arrived it wasn’t at our hotel. We had to call a few times to have the garbage changed bc we had dirty diapers. We do love the hotel itself and the location but Disney vacation club members should have access to the baby necessities.

This is our 3rd stay at Riviera. In my opinion, probably the best kept hotel on Disney property. Everything on site is so well done, and the resort still feels quiet even for being pretty large. Having the Skyliner at your disposal for either Epcot or Hollywood Studios is extremely convenient. Plenty to do at the resort with games, gym, pool - plus you can walk to visit the Caribbean Beach resort as an added bonus. All of the food here is top tier, in terms of Disney resorts. Some resorts are hit and miss with food, but Riviera has consistently been excellent. The wait for the quick service food area (Primo Piatto), at times was extremely long compared to other resorts. Several times it took 30+ minutes to get our food - this could be partly because of how many people resort hop to visit and eat here. This should hopefully go down now that Disney is locking down a bit on resort hopping. That's about the only critique i can think of. Overall, a great experience and we'll continue to come back.

I loved the ease of using the sky liner to Hollywood Studios and Epcot. The bus service was also nice to not have to stop at other resorts while getting to the other two parks. Our room was spacious and clean and had everything we needed. I did call for help getting the pulldown bed to pull down, the lady that came was super helpful and also helped with getting a light to work. All the cast members were knowledgeable and friendly. I loved staying here, it has a very relaxing atmosphere after a busy day at the parks.

Overall nice Disney resort in a great location. I truly enjoy the grounds here, the limited crowds, access to skyliner as well as a decent pool for the kids and splash pad (for those under 48"). Food options are pretty limited, though we did enjoy a very nice dinner at Toppolino Terrace. I would have to say overall the resort is a bit underwhelming, low on Disney theme and if your looking for luxury at the same or better price just stay at the Floridian or Waldorf down the street. The Waldorf will treat you like a king for less money, more food options, and bars that stay open past 10pm. I often find this lacking at Disney resorts. My wife and I like to enjoy a night cap when we get back to the resort with the kids and that's pretty limited to non existent here and at many other Disney properties. Most bars close at 10pm. We find the Boardwalk has a much better mix of Adult friendly options coupled with kid friendly choices that stay open a little later. Again, at this price point there is so many better options available (Waldorf, Floridian, Poly, Boardwalk/beachclub/yachtclub). Riviera is one of the few Disney resorts I have not stayed at and I don't plan on going back. Not that others won't thoroughly enjoy it, I have just stayed at much better Disney options and having that knowledge makes it less appealing. One note, if your kids do the crafts, they will have to leave them overnight in the craft room to dry. This created a problem for us at check out the following morning since the craft room is closed until 1pm. All staff were clueless as to how to get the kids ceramics. Took about an hour to retrieve when one smart teen just offered to go open the door and grab them for us... everyone else was useless (but nice). I am lucky we are local and didn't have to catch a flight.
