Overall, we enjoyed our stay at the Polynesian. It is under construction. so we were fully aware of those changes going on and the different adjustments needing to be made. The front desk staff were super accommodating and helped us get our room ready at check-in time (although I was surprised that it was delayed and I was kind of hoping for a lei to be readily given rather than requesting it). The grounds were beautiful and the food was delicious- we really enjoyed Capt Cooks for QS and had a lovely time at breakfast at O’Hana. Overall, we loved the room and the location, however there were some issues that accumulated over our stay that are worth mentioning. The drawers in the dresser were not functioning properly and that was always a fight to get to our clothes. The tv wasn’t working properly on the 3rd day and our outlets in the middle of the beds didn’t function from the start. Since we were staying not a long time, we didn’t call it in, but they are worth fixing. The hallways seemed a bit worn and it was interesting that the housekeeping carts were always sitting out in the hall, giving a cluttered feel along with the strollers. For a deluxe hotel, these combined issues didn’t give deluxe value. We stayed at the Boardwalk 2 years back and I honestly felt more deluxe in the experience. The pool was fun, but easily felt crowded and I think there could be more covered offerings (umbrellas or a portico of some sort) to beat that Florida sun sometimes. The people and the vibes made the experience really great, but hopefully some of those issues could be addressed.

The proximity of this resort to the monorail and Magic Kingdom is unmatched. The Ohana restaurant onsite was the highlight of our stay - impeccable food (both dinner and breakfast) and service! Cast members were outstanding and provided exemplary service from start to finish. With that said, we were less than impressed with the resort itself for the following reasons: the ceilings in the rooms were paper thin, we could ear every footstep and they shook the room (even guests in adjacent rooms complained); it was evident that they were short staffed with long wait times to get staff on the phones and sometimes service at desks; boat service was closed during our stay and no concessions were offered to make up for this; last, although construction will be temporary, the structures really put a damper on views and ability to easily traverse the resort. Overall, this did not feel like luxury accommodations at all, especially for the price point. We were excited to stay here and left disappointed. Will likely not book here again.

Here’s a 200+ word review you can use: We had a wonderful stay at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort and truly enjoyed the entire experience. From the moment we arrived, the resort felt like a tropical escape right in the middle of Walt Disney World. The atmosphere is beautiful, relaxing, and very well themed, with lush landscaping, island-style décor, and a welcoming Disney touch throughout the property. One of the best parts of staying here was the location. Being so close to the Magic Kingdom and having easy access to the monorail made getting around incredibly convenient, especially with family. Watching the fireworks from the resort area was also a great bonus and made the experience feel even more magical. The rooms were spacious, clean, and comfortable, with plenty of room for our family to relax after long park days. The staff members were friendly, helpful, and always professional, which made our stay even better. The dining options were excellent, with a nice variety of food choices. We especially enjoyed the overall atmosphere around the restaurants and common areas. Everything felt well maintained and thoughtfully designed. What really stood out was how family-friendly the resort is. There was always something enjoyable to see or do, and the whole environment felt immersive and fun for both kids and adults. Overall, Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort is a fantastic place to stay if you want convenience, great service, beautiful surroundings, and that extra bit of Disney magic. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Walt Disney World.

So very disappointed!!! We rented a deluxe studio and it was a huge disappointment. It had a small sink in the kitchenette area and the faucet never had water in the 4 days we were there! Any rinsing had to be done in the bathroom. I reported it on day 1 and it was never fixed! The coffee maker was never cleaned by housekeeping nor were the coffee supplies replenished. The shower had both a rain shower and a hand shower with a control to switch water sources to either one but it did not work and the rain shower constantly dripped cold water. Plastic bags were left folded on top of the trash cans so you had to put them on the trash cans yourself. The blanket on the twin bed was just rolled up into a messy roll instead of making the bed. For our entire stay there were no ice machines working on either the 2nd or 3rd floors! Our room was on the 3rd floor so we had to go to the first floor to get ice every day. A cast member at the lobby also told us it was better to go the ticket and transportation center to get the monorail when we were already in the lobby with 2 toddlers, 2 strollers and it was 91 degrees outside! It was horrible. On a positive note, the valet and bell services were very helpful, however bell services took an hour to arrive at the room on check out which messed up our last park day! With so many other choices, I would NOT recommend the Polynesian! Disney quality service standards and attention to detail has really deteriorated!!! Now it’s just mediocre at best.

We stayed at the Polynesian for 4 nights during our recent Disney trip. Previously, we stayed at Bay Lake Tower and Animal Kingdom Lodge and I was excited to experience the Polynesian. While the grounds were beautiful, I found the hotel to just be adequate. While our room was satisfactory and the rain shower very nice, the elevators were EXTREMELY small and we had a very challenging time using them with a double stroller, something I wouldn't expect for nearly $1k/night. I know it's one of the original hotels on property, but retaining the original elevators is not charming, it's unnecessarily frustrating. Additionally, the lava pool was unseasonably cold during our April stay, despite having beautiful weather. It was so chilly, our kids ended up in the hot tub or the Oasis pool instead, which was disappointing because the awesome-looking pool was one of the reasons we wanted to stay at the Poly in the first place. The last disappointing aspect was the longhouse signage. When returning from the parks at night, we found ourselves wandering around the grounds looking for the right longhouse. When we came to each building, they only had signs on one side, none of which were lit - we needed to use the flashlights on our phones to determine which one was which. This was not fun after walking 20k steps with 2 tired kids (and parents!) We enjoyed our stay at Animal Kingdom Lodge and Bay Lake way more than the Polynesian, and would not stay here again.
