I am unfortunately comparing Caribbean beach to Port Orleans riverside which is a moderate resort. The skyliner was the main reason we booked and it was worth it. However, it was closed for the majority of the day while we were in Epcot and we had planned to go back and give the kids some rest so that threw a little bit of a wrench in our plans. Otherwise, it was seamless with Hollywood Studios but we also did not plan to go back during the day . I love that there is a separate entrance and your friends with a Skyliner versus going through the front. When we were in Port Orleans, the toilet/bathtub were separate from the sinks (there was a double sink at port Orleans). We were in the "preferred location" and our particular room in Martinique did not have a separate sink area and only one sink which actually made things difficult as I am the only female in our family of 4. Caribbean Beach is super large, the food was decent at the main lobby area (pizza was 10x better at the Riviera BTW), the people that worked there, especially at the front desk were SO lovely as well as the people in the gift shop. The lobby is NOT big enough to handle when there is a thunderstorm. It was mayhem. We went in mid June, I would not go to Disney ever again in the summer time, definitely underestimated the heat. The pool water was so hot that it was uncomfortable and I didn't want to go in, not to mention the main pool was so crowded but the kids really, really loved the slides. The "quiet" pools were nice but again, water was too warm! It might just be me but I'm at a point in my life where I don't want to be in a very crowded pool with warm water and you know there was definitely kids peeing in it. Disney moderate rooms are basically a step up from a clean motel but there are obviously perks. I would actually consider staying at the Riviera though (again, better food) because I really do like the skyliner and we as a family love epcot and Hollywood more than MK and AK. The main skyliner hub at carribean Beach was definitely a bit of a walk from martique to get to Hollywood studios so keep that in mind if that's something that's important to you.

1) Did not know buildings did not have elevators. We were on 1st floor but daughter was on 2nd floor on a different building.
2) Locations of interior shuttle were hard to find.
3) Our room was renovated but daughter’s was not. She could have been in our building but opted to be in Aruba. She wished she had known.
4). Housekeeping missed corners behind the toilet and crumbs under the table.
5) Very disappointed that rooms don’t have microwaves. We have picky eaters who we could have fed if we had a microwave. Hotel was packed. We felt people needing to warm baby formula were more important so we didn’t request.
6) Will I stay here again? Not likely, given the other Skyliner options.
7) Skyliner closes due to lightning but backup buses take an hour to start running. The minute lightning is 10 miles out, buses should be dispatched. Tired and cranky kids don’t understand.
8) we waited an hour and a half for one pizza on a rainy night form the main dining room via mobile ordering. Totally unacceptable. Fortunately the kids were in the room and only one adult was stuck waiting to pick up. Don’t offer pizza if there isn’t capacity to push out more than two every ten minutes. I watched and tuned the boxes leaving.
9) pool and towels were great. Zero complaints.
10) security was great. Zero complaints.
11) Magic band opened room door perfectly. Zero complaints.
12) We have ears. There wasn’t anywhere to hang them, plenty of wall space above the fifth sleeper but no hooks. I guess I’ll bring 3M hooks next time.
13) I hate the renovated sink area. There is no counter space. With more than two people in a room, toiletries have to be spread out on shelves. Didn’t expect this in a moderate resort.
14) the fan cover in the bathroom needs a serious cleaning.
15) the a/c grill inside needs cleaning.
16) I hate the lights built into the headboards. You have to turn them off before you get into bed and walk all the way around the bed to do both.
17) tv was fine. No complaints.
18) counter under tv was fine. No complaints.
19) closet is too small. Hang the ironing board outside of it and give us the full closet or go back to an open hanging rack.
20) I like the shower doors over a shower curtain.
21) Bathroom fan never turns off. Seems like a waste of electricity and shortens the life of the fan. It should be on a timer from the time the light turns off. Maybe an hour to clear out moisture from a shower.

I normally don’t put reviews up that are less than perfect but I do feel like people need to be made aware of some things that I wish were communicated to us prior to checking in.
We recently stayed at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort while celebrating our daughter’s birthday, and unfortunately our experience was disappointing from the start.
When we arrived to check in, our reservation had another party’s name attached to it, which created confusion before our vacation had even begun. Thankfully it was eventually sorted out, but it wasn’t the smooth arrival we were expecting.
Another surprise was that the building our room was in did not have an elevator. We were traveling with two young children (ages 6 and 4), a stroller, luggage, and a cooler, so carrying everything up the stairs made both check-in and check-out much more difficult. I wish this had been made more obvious when booking so we could have requested a first-floor room or planned accordingly.
The room itself was also different than we expected based on the photos. We anticipated two standard beds, but instead had one bed and a pull-down bed, which wasn’t ideal for our family’s needs.
Finally, at checkout we needed to change the credit card for the remaining balance. The Cast Member helping us seemed visibly frustrated that the original card had already been charged and that he needed to reverse and redo the transaction. It made us feel as though we were inconveniencing him for what seemed like a routine request.
We chose Disney because of its reputation for creating magical family memories, and we were especially excited to celebrate our daughter’s birthday during this trip. While none of these issues alone would have ruined our vacation, together they made the experience feel much less special than we had hoped.
As Marriott members, we typically stay at Marriott properties, but we chose this hotel specifically for the Disney perks, convenient location, Skyliner transportation, and the overall Disney experience for our daughter’s birthday. We’ve always associated Disney with exceptional customer service and attention to detail, so this stay fell short of those expectations. I hope this feedback helps improve the experience for future guests.
Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort was an excellent choice for our family and a big part of what made our Walt Disney World vacation so enjoyable.
The resort is clean, well maintained, and surprisingly easy to navigate after the first day. Everything felt accessible without being overwhelming.
One of the biggest advantages is the Skyliner. Having direct access to EPCOT and Hollywood Studios saved us a tremendous amount of travel time compared to taking buses. It's fast, convenient, and became our preferred way to get to those parks.
The Disney bus system also worked very well for the parks and traveling around the resort. That said, if you're able to walk, I'd recommend it. Most places within the resort are only about a 5–8 minute walk away, and we found walking was often quicker than waiting for an internal bus.
We stayed in the Aruba section, and I would absolutely request it again. It's a little farther from the main hub, making it quieter and more private. We were also close to the EPCOT Skyliner station and had a quieter pool just outside our room, which was perfect after long days in the parks.
The food was good for resort quick-service dining, and we definitely recommend purchasing the refillable resort mug. We paid about $23 per cup and easily refilled them over 100 times during our stay. It ended up being one of the best values of the trip.
The gift shop had a nice selection of Disney merchandise and everyday essentials if you forgot something.
Check-in took a while because we arrived at the same time as many other guests, but check-out couldn't have been easier. We simply used the Disney app and were on our way in minutes.
The main pool was a lot of fun, especially for the kids, with multiple water slides and plenty of room to enjoy the afternoon. We also loved walking through Caribbean Cay. Younger children were having a great time exploring and playing there, and every evening Disney hosted Movies Under the Stars along with s'mores. We usually stopped for a few minutes while walking through after returning from the parks. It was a relaxing way to end the day, even if we were too tired to stay for the whole movie.
Overall, I would highly recommend Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort for families with younger or teenage children. It strikes a great balance between price, transportation, amenities, and atmosphere. It feels much more like a tropical vacation resort than a standard hotel, making it an excellent value for families looking for a relaxing Disney experience.

I had a tough time deciding on a 3 or 4 on a few of these. The people were always helpful and friendly. There was some communication barrier with one of the Walmart drops (Walmart leaves it and then you can go get it or a Disney employee will bring it to your room. It’s definitely worth the $6 at the Caribbean Beach to pay the $6. . He did not speak English and was hard to tell what all he needed. The rooms were “ok” not anything special! I thought when we went “up one step” on lodging they would be nicer. Too high expectations I guess? I did not like how spread out the hotel was. We were in bldg. 42 and The “front desk” was quite a ways from us. The Skyliner was nice and the bus stop was just across the parking lot so that wasn’t bad. I would strongly suggest you not stay here if you are in need of a scooter and/or have trouble walking. There are 2 levels/floors and no elevator. I requested first floor and so did my travel agent but we did not get it. Unfortunately our flight was late. It was dark when we got there and it was a BIG struggle finding the correct building AND trying to figure out where to park the scooter. They had mentioned at the front desk that we could bring it back to charge it over night. After the second park day we got off the bus at the front desk then paid an employee to take us to the round about “closest to!” Our room. The next morning the scooter had been taken by the company! HUGE MESS! So, that took up lots of our time trying to get to the park. Ugh! I just don’t feel it’s very “handicap friendly!” We contacted the front desk the 2nd day about moving to first floor. We would need to leave the park and meet them at a certain time to move. There was nothing available in bldg. 42 so we would need to move to a different bldg. we were with family (5 rooms) so decided to stay where we were. Like I mentioned, most of the people were polite but it was a mess! You can tell which bus drivers think the scooters are a pain and which drivers don’t mind! I also think Disney needs to do something in reference to “first timers!” I got frustrated with people thinking we should know where to go and what to do! The shows are wonderful and most food is ok. It’s like everywhere, all depends how much you want to/CAN spend. The prices are astronomical and the lightening lanes just give you a “choice” to spend more money. Loved seeing the characters!
