My son and I took my 15 month old grandson to Disney for the weekend. I booked Boardwalk because I understood it to be a deluxe resort. We were put into a ADA room with no bathtub and a tiny shower that allowed water all over the floor; the room was clean but tight (we were three but it was advertised to sleep five) which would be nearly impossible. All the beds were low to the floor and uncomfortable. When I spoke to the front desk they told me ADA was a possibility when I booked in the website but I talked with a Sisney agent and it was not on the reservation nor discussed. The balcony was small, cramped with uncomfortable metal seats limiting the ability to enjoy the view. Overall, very expensive for a subpar experience. Would absolutely not recommend.
There are very few "accessible rooms "to choose from at this resort. Since the one accessible room that is boardwalk view is always taken, we chose the garden/pool view, with transfer shower. The one and only location of this type of room is a very long distance to get to the elevator pushing a wheelchair on the thick hallway rug the whole way. Also, for being ADA rooms like the hotel told me, there's no option for a push button entry into the room like we've had at Other ADA rooms on Disney property. Also, to offer an accessible microwave, it was a small one up into the corner of the counter at which point someone in a wheelchair could not reach the buttons to operate it or open the door.

I think that this could have been my favorite resort that we've stayed at so far if not for one thing. We stayed recently at the Boardwalk in a garden/pool view room. Unfortunately, outside the room was a completely overgrown tree blocking the view. If I'm honest, having my morning coffee on a deck overlooking the view is one of my favorite things to do on vacation and I couldn't see anything at all due to the obstruction of the view. If I wanted to request a room change, I would have had to check out and check back in leaving us with no room to return to during the day (and the weather was HOT) so this was something we could not do. The interior of the room was beautiful. Just wish we had the view that we paid for.
We love Disney World. We have been nine times. This trip we stayed at the Boardwalk. The boardwalk itself was beautiful and the short walk to Epcot and Hollywood was amazing as I hate waiting dor the buses. My biggest complaint was how the issue I had was quickly dismissed as “well there’s nothing we can do”. We rope drop everyday, go hard, then come back after lunch and crash a few hours. With no warning the first day we were napping the hotels fire alarms go off and activate my daughters trauma from past warning alarms. She was at her grandparents when a tornado hit their house. She had nightmares that night about it. and then the next two days also had more fire alarms go off checks being done, same time of the day. The only warning you got was a sign by the elevator. No text, no call, no easy phone notification. So we were caught each time with no notice. After the third day I complained, explaining half of my time here was riddled with fire alarms that give my daughter panic attacks. Tje response from the front desk management was “sorry, we posted when it would happen, we have no control over what the state wants to do.” They said sorry again and that was that. I am quite certain that a better notification system Could have been used and also believe it didn’t have to be tested three days in a row. There was no Disney magic in handling this situation, instead just a “sorry there’s nothing we can do”. I believe something could have been done to make this situation better for a family who had half their trip plagued by a window of three hours of potential afternoon fire alarms scaring their family. We will not be returning to the boardwalk again.

Was our first time at Boardwalk Villas and we loved it. As soon as we pulled up at 9am our bags were taken care of, room was ready, and bell services was very quick. We started our park day even more relaxed than we anticipated. The grounds were clean. My only dislikes were that you had to walk down to the boardwalk to get to the main food location where you get the souvenir cup. Wish there were more eateries near the lobby. Also wish there were more washers and dryers in the laundry room. We just got off a cruise and it was a little challenging to get laundry done. Other than that, great resort and location.
