Our recent stay at the Disney’s BoardWalk Inn Garden Cottage Suites was nothing short of magical. Tucked away behind the convention center in their own peaceful little corner of the resort, these cottages truly feel like a hidden gem at Walt Disney World. With only a small collection of cottages surrounding their own quiet pool area, it felt secluded, relaxing, and incredibly special. Our suite was absolutely perfect for our little family. The two-floor layout gave it such a cozy and unique feel, and having our own private gate and patio area made it even better. It genuinely felt like staying in a tiny slice of paradise right in the middle of Disney. One of the biggest highlights of the trip was the included club level access at the Innkeepers Club. Located on the 4th floor near the Garden Suites, it added such a luxurious touch to the weekend. The food offerings throughout the day were delicious, but what truly made the experience unforgettable was the Cast Members working there. Every single one of them was warm, welcoming, and incredibly kind to our son. He absolutely loved the attention and interactions, and the staff made him feel so special every time we visited. Those magical little moments are what Disney does best. This trip was to celebrate my wife’s birthday, and honestly, we could not have picked a more perfect place to celebrate. Between the peaceful atmosphere, amazing hospitality, delicious food, and nighttime strolls along the BoardWalk, the entire weekend was unforgettable. The Garden Cottage Suites are truly one of Disney’s best kept secrets, and we will absolutely be returning. Thank you to the entire BoardWalk team and Innkeepers Club staff for such a magical experience!

I've stayed at this resort several times and it's always lovely - the service is great and the location cannot be beat. Only deducted one star for the rooms for a design issue in the bathroom. The towel rack above the toilet is also where you need to lean in to turn the bathtub/shower on and you have to be very careful not to bump your head on the metal rack. I think a deluxe resort should not have this type of issue and I'm hoping Disney fixes it.

I really liked the Boardwalk but in comparison to some other Deluxe resorts, there were some aspects that knocked it down on my list. First of all, I ended up with a tiny balcony that couldn't even fit chairs on it. It was about 3' by 4' and only had space for the door to open out. I stayed at the Yacht club before and I didn't notice any balconies like that there. I talked to the front desk and the cast member basically said it was just random. I've never stayed there before so I wouldn't have known to request a full balcony like all other deluxe resorts have. I also felt limited by the one quick order breakfast option of the Boardwalk Deli. They had pastries and some breakfast sandwiches, but those aren't as kid friendly. It was a beautiful resort and had great location but I think I'll stay at the Yacht Club again for another close option to parks and the skyliner.

We had an amazing stay at the Boardwalk Inn from 4/20-4/25, so much so that we are spending the extra money to upgrade our August stay from a moderate resort back to Boardwalk. The main reason for this is the staff. Obviously the decor and ambiance of Boardwalk is beautiful, but the employees and customer service were unmatched. We have stayed in other places, including Poly sand Beach Club, but this stay is one we will never forget, thanks to these wonderful folks. Firstly, Sam, the valet...an actual angel. He and my 6 year old daughter made a connection right when we arrived. For our entire stay, my daughter would be most excited to start her morning with a high five from Sam. She said she wants to work at Disney when she grows up so she can "work with Sam and hang out." (she's too funny) But every morning, even though it meant we would be a couple minutes later to the parks with all the rides and things, she looked forward to saying hello to him. He remembered her name right away and would always take a second to say hi to her and see what our plans were for the day. Fast forward, he found out when we were leaving and asked to say bye to our daughter one more time before we came back to Boston and that he got her a little gift. He got her a little Mickey and wrote Sam on the foot like Andy does in Toy Story, and a wonderful note for her as well. This is now proudly displayed on her shelf at home. In return, we got him some toy story bff keychains for him and her to share. Someone going out of their way to do something so sweet and thoughtful for my daughter is what gets us to come back to Disney. On the note of checkout, I realized the ONE JOB I gave my husband of booking flights for Friday...he "thought I said Saturday" (no I didn't, I said Friday 100 times) and we were set and paid for checkout Friday, wasn't done correctly. I immediately went into panic mode. I am in tears in the lobby, knowing this is a busy time, there are probably no rooms available, that we have no rental car and nowhere to go, and are over 1000 miles from home. I also had limited funds as some of my cards were flagged for fraud (we had just come off a cruise in the Bahamas). I am not okay. But I go down to the front desk to see what to do. I spoke with Amanda from Pittsburgh at the front desk, who was so incredibly nice. She immediately made me feel like she was on my "team", grabbed an ipad, said "don't panic, let's see what we can do." She made some calls but was having an issue with the person on the phone which is when Lex from Boston stepped in. While Lex was on the phone, Amanda chatted with me and got me to relax. I explained the situation to her, she immediately grabbed the phone and took over; in the most professional girl boss way( I hate that phrase, but it definitely describes Lex). She was able to get me one more night at the hotel at the rate I originally paid. She helped me to stop crying. She made me feel seen for being frustrated with my partner (who is a wonderful man, he just doesn't listen). I am so grateful to this team. I am so appreciative of the "pixie dust" that we received, but even without it, there is an incredible, top notch crew working over at boardwalk, and I would still be writing my sentiments about them. From front desk, to valet, to custodial and maid services, to gift shop cast members, every person we interacted with represented Disney in a way that would make the company proud. Our stay is a prime example of 5 star service and the Disney magic that everyone wants to experience. I have been in the customer service industry my entire life, and Sam, Lex, and Amanda in particular, are folks I would be honored and proud to have working for me. Thank you so much to everyone, I hope these folks get to see this note and see how small things they do make big impacts on guests. We are now a Boardwalk family for life, because we can't put a price tag on the service we received.

I have stayed at the following Deluxe Resorts: Beach Club, Contemporary, Wilderness Lodge, Animal Kingdom Lodge and the Polynesian. Unfortunately the only one I would not stay at again is the Boardwalk based upon my recent experience. The Disney Refillable Mug station is the size of a closet located within the public Boardwalk Deli with only one small soda station with a very unclean and crowded area with broken soda sections. The main pool (The Luna) heater was broken the entire week and was told by a lifeguard there will be a major pool refurbishment with no intent of fixing the heater until next year. Hope that is not true for future guests. There is no table or desks in the rooms. The bathroom faucet had a slow leak. There is inadequate tables within the lobby so if you want a to sit down some place and eat it's difficult. Very minimal staff checking people (only one) and no one at the concierge table for long length of time. You will find yourself going up and down stairs or elevators constantly as the lobby is on the second floor. Very difficult layout. There is extreme catering to DVC so you feel like a second class citizen if you are not a DVC member. I have actually had better service and food court for drinks etc at the value resort Pop century. Please think twice before booking a stay here as a non-DVC member. I actually took the time before I left to talk with management. I escalated it as a supervisor I first talked with was not helpful or appropriate. Management told me they are aware of the issues and many have complained before but they did validate my concerns. I told them I just want Disney to do well and provide good service to their guests. I don't have a lot of hope because this Hotel opened in 1996 and 30 years later they have not addressed these issues. I assume it's not the staff but leadership of this Hotel. It's actually the opposite at Beach Club just a 5 minute walk away. Great service there. I just like to try different places but I have moved on and will not be back to this one. Thanks again for your acknowledgment.
