I was very excited to spend the 5 days and 4 nights at Disney's Boardwalk, especially since the price was found at a great price. Upon arriving, the excitememnt was a bit of a let down. After staying at the Yacht Club last year, one of the Disney excitements was walking in and being hit with the "smell" of Disney which was throughout the resport. I expected that as soon as I walked into the Boardwalk and was let down. There was no special Disney smell and it was like walking into a Marriott. Our bags were held at bell service since our room was not ready and did receive a teext when our room was ready. 2 nights into our stay, I went to bed after having a migraine and all of a sudden heard the guest in the connecting room at full blast. Both adults were speaking to the child, the television was loud, and ths lasted for a minimum of 2 hours. This began around 11:15-11:30 at night. After an hour I finally changed and went to the front desk. I was apologized to and asked if I would like a room change the next day. I said yes and went back to my room, and tried to sleep, listening to The Little Mermaid. The next morning I awoke, late, and barely noticed there was a message on the room phone. It stated I would need to call and confirm a room change and vacate by 10 am. This left less than an hour to pack, shower, and get together. I was not happy, again. I found out, even though it was quiet time, security or the equivalent, should have gone to the other guests room immediately and asked them to quiet down. the 4 night stay was $2,000. I received $100 for my trouble, was charged for valet parking, which never happened, and had to go back to the front desk before we left to have that removed and overall would not stay at Boardalk again. The restraunts compared to the other resorts are awful. You cannot get Mickey waffles, a STAPLE of Disney, and coffee is not available until late in the resport building. Why not? I am an annual pass holder and visit at least once every nine months minimum. This trip I arrived a day early due to other events that finished and allowed for the trip to begin quicker. Also, due to the horrific stay at Boardwalk, I decided to extend my stay 3 extra days to try and compensate for everything. I had a better time at Carribbean Beach resort, which is larger and requires more walking, than staying at Boardwalk where everything is closer. The price as also more than half the cost a night, what does that tell you? Plus, I was FINALLY able to have Mickey waffles.
