*****Don't stay at the All Star Music Resort unless you are fine with not being able to turn off the AC at night and having air blowing on your face when you are sleeping******
First the good...The rooms were clean, some of the staff went above and beyond, and buses ran frequently
The negatives but expected...The rooms were tiny and old and it was far from the parks
The reason for the one star review...
1. Called at 5 pm on check in day to tell me my room wasn't available, said they would call back but never did, had to track down what to do at 9 pm. (Disney doesn't allow you to call the front desk).
2. The AC does not shut off. Called about it and they said to shut it off at night you had to call maintenance to have a worker manually turn it off. If you then wanted to turn it on during the day, another worker had to come out. I know some people don't care but made my trip a total miserable experience

This was our first trip to Disney. We are a family of 4 but also brought the in laws and got two connecting standard rooms at the Rock Inn. The rooms were nice and clean but very small. With the bed folded down, there was very little room to walk around and all of us had bruises on our arms and legs from hitting things and the sides of the beds that stuck out. The bed on the side of the wall by the bathroom was very close to the wall. You cannot walk straight back to the bed to get into it, there’s not enough room. We also had an issue when we went to do our laundry, the washer broke mid cycle and it was a mess getting figured out and it took 3 dry cycles to get our clothes dry. We were reimbursed for the cycles that didn’t work. It was a nice place but I expected a little bit more for how expensive it is. It would have also been nice to have a microwave in the rooms.

This was our first time staying on Disney property in about 20 years and it was fantastic. We were in Building 7 - Broadway, I requested a room close to parking since we were making the drive from NC and driving to/from the parks each day. I'm an Annual Passholder and prefer the flexibility of having our car over the buses. The on site dining was perfect for me and my son. We used the Dining Hall more times than I can count in 5 nights. We took full advantage of the free water park on check in day and went to Typhoon Lagoon. This was the best start to our week and so much fun. The pools were great. We used them multiple times. It's not really a complaint, but a wish. I'd love to have room delivery back for food service. We thought that was an option, but was currently unavailable. I would have requested a room a little closer to the dining hall had I known it was unavailable.

As a third generation music teacher who has two degrees in music education and is currently earning a PhD in Music Education, I was excited to stay at All Star Music! Even though this resort is a value resort and most of our previous trip was spent in a deluxe resort, I actually looked forward to being able to spend part of my Disney Vacation here. While the resort is a great concept, I felt like the theming and attention to detail were not quite to the standards that Disney promotes of themselves. For example, at a resort literally named for music, one would expect to hear music everywhere. Instead, the music was very soft. The theming also did not feel like it was to the scale of even the other two All Stars. Disney could do so much more with this resort, and I hope they will!
Other than that, it was just like a stay at either of the other All Stars!

For the most part everything was good. We were there for a quick trip to celebrate my daughter’s 21st bday. The food court food was decent. Not too crowded.
We had an issue with bugs (at least 6 that we found) and hair in the bedding the first night. Housekeeping did come out and switch out the bedding. We were told we could not switch rooms until the pest control team could come out and received a positive result for bedbugs (the next day at the earliest as they were off site). This in my opinion was completely unsat. Had these been bed bugs we would have been infested/bitten all night. Do better. This was our first time at this property and I was disappointed in the response given.
My wallet somehow turned up missing but was later discovered in the bedding that housekeeping took that first night. It was returned to me and I appreciated the cast members assistance getting it back.
