Warning, long post:
I used to love this hotel, have stayed many times and each time it has gotten worse. Most recently a couple of weeks ago, which will likely be my last. I knew my flight was going to get in super late, so I called at 6pm to let them know that I was going to be there and that it would be around 1am at best, but I was absolutely going to be there for the weekend. The girl that answered the phone seemed confused by me saying that and said thanks for letting us know. She apparently didn't pass along that info to the night shift or enter it into the system because when I got there they said they had canceled my reservation because I didn't show up. I told them I had called and showed the call log on my phone and gave the name of the person I spoke to. They apologized and said she was new and that they would talk to her. No biggie, they put me in the system, said I needed to insert my card for a deposit. I asked to clarify that it was only for the deposit as I had already paid for my stay and it was nonrefundable and it was clearly not my fault that THEY canceled it. They said yup, its our fault, it is just for the deposit. Great. Checked out just over 27 hours later and as I'm at the airport what do I see... another charge for the price of a 2 night stay!!! I call the hotel, the manager wasn't there, told to call back the next day. Call back the next day, manager says it isn't her fault and that I have to call Priceline because since they (hotel) canceled the reservation if they don't charge me now, they don't get paid (this also makes no sense considering it was a nonrefundable reservation that was paid in full a month ahead of time). OK, call Priceline, they can't refund me because they didn't charge me inappropriately. Call the hotel manager again, she says I now have to have Priceline call them directly for the hotel to do the refund. I do that, hear nothing back. Call Priceline again, who gets a hold of the manager and initiates the refund process (whatever that means). I'm told to expect an update within 48 hours. 5 days later, still no update or refund. Call Priceline again, same song and dance. Shame for a decent hotel stay to be so poorly managed. Even worse is that the manager was there when I checked in and said she remembered the situation when I called the next day!!! So she knows the entire situation and that it was her staff's fault and yet I am the one that has to be over here making a bunch of phone calls to get her to correct their error. So I suppose with all of that being said, consider yourself warned if you ever have a reservation on a busier weekend and I suppose I should just be thankful that they had a room for me to stay in at all. Also, for those still reading I will point out that some of this is policy related I'm sure and not a singular person's fault, but the way this situation has been handled has been awful. Honestly, even after all this if I had just been refunded or had a different response when I called and asked why I was charged again, I'd probably stay there again because I'm a pretty understanding person. But after all this, I think that ship has sailed. ⛵️ I can handle mistakes, but I won't tolerate a lack of accountability.
