  They canceled my reservation before. I got there.l, then rebooked at $75 more because "they made an error and ran my card early and it declined." Of course it declined. I had my card off since they said they don't run the card until arrival, per their website. People were smoking weed at the bench in front of the door and in their rooms. The front desk commented that it was vap3s, not smoking in hallways, so it's allowed? You can smell it walking through the halls. HVAC didn't work. It wouldn't cool lower than 75. All lights, except one, we're burned out. Not a good hotel at all.

  It’s Florida so I should never be surprised when the room has a funky musty smell but it’s not my favorite. Room was otherwise clean, checkin was fine and the gentleman who checked us in at midnight was professional and efficient. Hotel was quiet, certain portions of parking lot well lit at night. Didn’t have breakfast.

  Stayed here 6 years ago and had no issues but only stayed one night previously. This time we stayed 2 nights. Very loud and had to call the front desk at 10:30pm to ask when the music was going to quiet down. AC did not work well in the room and the tv also had issues. Key cards did not work on the second day and had to go to the desk-no apology for the issue. Housekeeping did not come to the room. On a positive note, staff is friendly greeting as you enter and exit hotel.

  This was a last minute booking, but I am so pleasantly surprised by this location. Prime location for those flying in (we drove up from Miami), and accessible to many spots in Jacksonville. We were there for a concert at Celebration Church, which was just about 5 min away. The gentleman at the front desk was incredibly respectful and professional; to the point, no bells or whistles, while still maintaining an inviting atmosphere. We only stayed one night, but it was well worth it.

  I always try to stay at the Holiday inn, but this time it was an absolute nightmare. For the ten days we stayed, every time we come back to the hotel we have to go down to the front desk and get the key programmed. Sometimes up to four times a day. It got annoying and all what the staff can say is “The keys are very sensitive and to keep it away from any magnetic items”. Which I kept it separate in my pocket. The worst part is when I go to the front desk to ask for another key, they are frustrated with me!!! I usually visit FL twice a year and travel to different states and always try to stay at the Holiday inn. But now I think I won’t.
