- NRNorma ReisJun 19, 20261.0I arrived late to the hotel after a long day of travel with my daughter that would be checking in to the Mayo Clinic the next morning early. I noticed an odd odor of ammonia/urine when I stepped off the elevator but went on to our room. The room smelled very musty and perhaps molded, I was very concerned and the front desk said there was no room to move to. The following evening when I returned to the room there were large fans running in the hallway and the carpet was wet. My room had a loud odor that was nasty. Shortly after entering my room, the smell of marijuana was so loud it made me feel sick. Running the bathroom fan drew more of the smell into my room. The smoke free policy is not enforced obviously. There were hairs on the sheets, they were soiled and I had to change the bedding. The carpets were filthy and the hallway smelled of urine. On the third day I was moved to a new location. As a member of IHG this hotel and my treatment were a complete disappointment. Don't rely on their cleaning or smoking policy as that is not adhered to. This was the worst kept Holiday Inn Express that I have ever stayed in.

Pam at the front desk was so pleasant and even helpful in referring restaurants to eat at. She was very professional and sweet. Overall our stay was very delightful.
