  Old school hotel experience! Free full breakfast served 7-930am, mini fridge with freezers in room, comfy beds, coin laundry on our floor, ice machine on our floor, nice and clean outdoor pool, fantastic location near to major interstates, super friendly staff. Only downside was the mildew smell in the room. Holiday Inn Express still gives the old school hotel experience without the huge price tag.

  After the experience we had at another hotel, we were exhausted, frustrated, and just ready to find a clean, safe place to stay. We had already traveled 10 hours, checked into a roach-infested, dirty hotel, and then had to pack everything back up and search for another room on one of the busiest weekends of the year—the Fourth of July. I called Holiday Inn Express & Suites Jacksonville, and from the moment the front desk associate answered the phone, she was kind, patient, and incredibly helpful. When we arrived, she welcomed us with a smile, quickly found us a room despite the holiday weekend, and even provided extra sheets so we could finally get settled and get some much-needed rest. The difference in our experience was night and day. The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. Every morning, breakfast was fresh and delicious with plenty of options for my family. Housekeeping made sure we had more than enough towels each day without us having to ask, which was a small gesture that made a big difference. What started as one of the worst vacations because of our original lodging turned into a much better experience thanks to Holiday Inn Express & Suites Jacksonville and the outstanding front desk representative. After such a stressful day, they gave my family peace in the middle of the chaos. My kids are still talking about how much they enjoyed our stay. Thank you for turning a terrible situation into a positive memory. We truly appreciate the exceptional customer service and hospitality and will absolutely stay here again.

  Don’t plan on staying here if you want any sleep. Appears they let juveniles run the hotel running around unsupervised at all hours of the night screaming and yelling. People in rooms thumping and making noise til 0230 in the morning and issues not addressed. Cars playing loud bass in the parking lot at 7 am. Told management would be reaching out to me and it’s been two days. Stay somewhere classy instead

  This is a thorough review. We ended up checking into this location last minute. Planned for another spot that was booked. Compared surrounding availability and this was the best deal, by far. We love that a mini fridge, microwave and Keurig are available inside the room. To expand on that, most rooms offer an old school coffee maker, this room a basic room not a suite, includes a Keurig coffee machine. Breakfast is also included downstairs but sometimes you need a coffee prior 😅. Most of the time the coffee machines suck but this one is great. Also the mini fridge allows cold drinks and even a mini freezer at the top if needed, very convenient to meet everyone’s needs. A microwave for easy snacks/meals. The ac unit stays nice and cold, unlike other hotels this one stayed cold no matter how long. The water in the bathroom stays HOT, even the sink when you wash your hands. The shower nice and hot if you want it that way. They also use Dove throughout the bathroom. Hand soap, lotion etc. a nice familiar brand that doesn’t smell funky like some hotels do. Just saying. The entire room was very clean. A small closet included with iron, ironing board and safe if needed. We had a room with two queen beds. The bedding comfy and soft. Firm mattress for support that you feel like you fall into. A big tv, probably 42” at least I’m not sure. 😅 I will say the window has a covering that’s on its last leg. The only con in the room. When we closed it it’s like it got caught on the sides and I had push into the grooves to make sure light doesn’t come in during the morning. Other than that everything is great. We also put a toy together that required a mini screwdriver for batteries. We called down to the front desk and maintenance found one small enough that worked!! Our boy was so happy to have his toy during our chaos and we really appreciated it!! I hope this review helps others looking for a great room at a great price. Also I included a pic of the peephole on the door, as a woman it’s nice to know it’s covered automatically. I historically cover these with tissue. (If you know, you know why). But here it’s not needed since already covered. So great. Breakfast also included which is always lovely. So if you need a getaway, look no further.
