  We stayed one night before our cruise and would definitely stay here again. It’s a clean, quiet, and convenient location. The staff is top notch. However, I do need to find out how to get my IHG points for staying.

  It was my first time staying at this location. I was there from June 27th to June 30th. My daughter was with me. I had made reservations for a hotel across the street from this location. The hotel across the street was totally unacceptable, so I had to make a last minute decision on where to stay after traveling for Virginia and the fact that it was about 5AM at this point. I booked the room in the lobby through my USAA app. The receptionist said she only had a suite with 1 bed and a couch pull out bed, even though it was showing that there was a 2 bed room available. So I took the suite. There was no carts in the lobby for us to take our belongings up to the 2nd floor. When getting settled in the room my daughter noticed that it was no mattress in the pull out. So she slept on the couch. We notified the desk about this problem. We were informed again that there were no more rooms that could accommodate us. I contacted a family friend that works for Holiday Inn Express and told them of the problem I was having and by the time the problem was resolved it was my last night there, so it did not make sense for me to pack up all of our things and move to another room by that time. I also learned that the room that I was in was not supposed to be on the rent availablity list. The only thing wrong with the room was that it did not have the sleeper matress. The suite was clean and stocked. It had a small kitchen sink, cabinets, microwave, and small fridge. The ac worked really well. The continental breakfast was pretty good, and so was the coffee. The staff member woman that was servicing the continental breakfast area was hospitable, and accommodating. Room service was great. The lobby and the continental breakfast area stayed neat and clean. There is a flat screen tv in the continental breakfast area. There is an inside pool, and the ice machine worked on my floor. There is also a washer a dryer on site but you do have to pay for that. The parking lot is a little on the small side. Check out was very simple and easy and there were 3 carts available. I have the rooms at 2 stars because of the no mattress for the sleep and because that room shouldn'thave been available to rent at the regular rate. I have the service at 2 stars because I had to call the family friend to assistance with the problem instead of it being handled by the hotel staff. I would stay here again, but not if I going to be treated the same as on my last visit.

  We have been going here for a while today we left to the airport and my child was sitting on the bed and she had seen a bug crawling on the bed im not sure of what it was but it looked like a silver fish thats disgusting we could have been sleeping in bugs this whole time

  Worst hotel experience ever – Dirty and infested We needed a room for just one night for my family, but we ended up leaving and demanding a refund. Every single room we were shown was disgusting. The first room had roaches running around. When my husband asked for a new one, the second room hadn't even been cleaned—there were dirty towels on the floor and an unmade bed. The third room was just as bad, with more roaches and spiders. The carpets throughout were filthy, and there was food left on the floor. Unbelievably poor standards.
