  Leaving a fair but honest review - having debated this whole for ages based off previous reviews. The hotel hot water is back up and running fine, having seen previous reviews suggested it wasn't. The location is fine, with WAWA around the corner for convenience & near the airport (shuttle available if you wish). The biggest two issues were the noise & heat. Our room on the top floor, the balcony door / window just had no sealant meaning you could hear everything on the highway, even being the furthest from it. Wasn't the end of the world, but with sirens & stuff, potentially easily disturbed. The main issue was the AC. It was on, and you could feel a slight cool air flow but it did nothing. The room was like an oven, despite all attempts to cool. Making it near unbearable to sleep and this was shared with multiple guests I spoke too, who were also trying to swap rooms, get cooler or complain. The hotel did order and get more fans for the various rooms, but the vans did very little to help & cool the room, particularly if multiple occupants of the room. Credit where credit is due, one thing I would highlight hence the mid overall review is the staff were friendly and helpful & sincere. It's not their fault, and everyone they spoke with including me they tried to offer help, new rooms etc etc where they could. Other reviews mention cleanliness, I saw no issues. It was fine, clean & tidy and for the price point, I certainly wouldn't ask for more. I wouldn't stay here again with the current AC issue, but if that was rectified, the price I would come back.

  If I could give zero stars, I would I booked this hotel for nine nights and within the first night the air-conditioning went out. We are now struggling in a room with no air-conditioning and two fans that they think is going to help us and referring us to free breakfast as a sorry. With my extended stay here I bought plenty of food to cover myself. There should be no reason why we are not able to get a refrigerator in our room for water when we are drinking hot water because of the temperatures in the rooms. The front desk does not seem to care about anything and they’re all laughing up there about the situation a bunch of young untrained staff no one knows any English. Worst experience ever.

  The health inspector needs to step in. We arrived at 12:50 am give or take to be told they don’t have A/C. I was advised that we could have the keys to two rooms to see if the A/C works. Room 310 smelled so bad… It smells like mildew it’s extremely musky. 312 didn’t seem as bad when I opened the door… It also seemed cooler. We are trying to sleep but can’t because the odor is strong. It’s getting to the point we are now congested, itching and coughing. Which tells me it’s more than the A/C concern. They aren’t doing anything about it…. My throat burns so bad, I’m ready to sleep in the car. I am not going to sleep in here at all…. The carpet is just as bad as everyone else is saying it is…. The picture online is nothing compared to what we’re in….

  This is absolutely the most ridiculous hotel I've experienced. I wasn't bothered by the wait , the day staff was very polite, however in Miami HEAT my room had NO AIR CONDITIONING!!!!! Can you imagine being in a room with it being 90 degrees in the room...No REALLY 90 degrees, I attempted to attach a picture of the thermostat to this review but was unable. What was frustrating was the front desk staff 3rd shift ... NOt ONLY did they ACKNOWLEDGE THE A/C ISSUE they had no SOLUTIONS ...12am midnight flight leaves in 3hrs and I'm sitting up with a cold cloth on my neck ... worst and I do mean worst part of my TRIP!!!!!

  I was extremely disappointed with my stay at the Holiday Inn Miami West – Airport Area. The first thing you notice when you walk into the hotel is the unpleasant smell. The lobby, hallways, and even the guest rooms have a dirty odor that’s being masked by an overpowering fragrance. It gives the impression that the carpets haven’t been deep cleaned in a very long time. The noise level was another major issue. Guests were constantly yelling and talking loudly in their rooms and the hallways at all hours of the day and night. It was nearly impossible to relax, and the hotel did nothing to enforce quiet hours. The air conditioning barely worked. The thermostat showed conflicting temperatures, and it appeared to be locked, so we couldn’t adjust it ourselves. The room stayed warm and uncomfortable the entire time. I was also shocked that housekeeping doesn’t automatically clean your room. You have to call and request service, which is ridiculous considering how much this hotel charges. Speaking of prices, they’re outrageous. Breakfast is over $16 per person, yet it’s not even included with your stay. The vending machines are just as bad—around $4 for a tiny pack of candy is absurd. To make matters worse, the laundry room was out of service. A hotel charging these rates should have working amenities. It’s frustrating that basic things aren’t maintained. Overall, this hotel is overpriced, poorly maintained, and not worth the money. Between the unpleasant smell, loud guests, broken air conditioning, lack of automatic housekeeping, expensive food and vending machines, and broken laundry facilities, I would not stay here again or recommend it to anyone. Save your money and book somewhere else that’s worth to pay for
