While on a long road trip decided to Make a reservation just to get a few hours. Sleep and check in at 3:30. I made the reservation 30 minutes before arrival. There is an incompetent front desk clerk by the name of Alan, who is there. He did not greet me and I had to stand there and tell him that I was checking in and I handed him my ID. He looked at my ID eight times and could not find the reservation. He would not speak. He mumbled something and I said I don’t understand you. He then said something about already closing out the computer system for the night. I stood in front of this person for 20 minutes who has no business being in front of people for a living. I had to go out to my car to get my phone to show him my reservation and do his job for him. He has horrible interpersonal skills and irritated me horribly. I asked him several times to just cancel the reservation and issue me a refund and he said he could not do that. He finally gives me a room that is literally right across from the elevators so I walked back down and asked if there was a room that was not at the elevator since I was checking in at 3:30 in the morning and wanted to get sleep. He said he couldn’t do that so I then said I want a refund again because I was so irritated by his poor Customer Service skills. I stormed out and got on the phone and requested a refund and then their agent was supposedly transferring me to someone else and hung up on me. I then called again and had to start the whole process over again. I asked for a supervisor and was then told that she cannot give me a refund without calling the front desk, agent who downplayed what actually happened and was then told they will not give me a refund. I never once even opened the hotel door. This was an absolutely horrible experience from start to this point. I wish I could say to the finish because it’s not finished and I have to do all kinds of follow Ups just to get a refund if they’ll even do it. That front desk clerk does not need to be working in front of people. This was a horrible experience and if you do choose to check into this hotel, make sure you do it during the day because the night staff is horrible.

This booking experience has been a nightmare. My aunt is turning 100, and many family members are traveling to Gainesville for the celebration. We reserved a block of rooms expecting a discounted group rate, only to discover that the same rooms were $209 cheaper on Expedia.
Calling customer service to ask whether they would match the price was one of the most frustrating hotel experiences I’ve ever had, and several other family members encountered the same problems.
To make matters worse, my three-night stay was booked as two separate reservations—one night under one confirmation number and the remaining two nights under another. I was told that, to avoid changing rooms, I would need to go to the front desk after the first night, explain the situation, check out, and then check in again.
For what should have been a simple family group reservation, the pricing, customer service, and booking process have been unnecessarily confusing and frustrating. I cancelled with hotel and booked with Expedia.

Clean rooms. nice layout. That’s the positive. Now for the negative: 1) Stayed for 3 nights to help move in our kid to college. The room was not cleaned the whole time, no housekeeping in sight. beds were not made, we actually ran out of toilet paper and had to call to ask for some. No one ever came to replace. We actually had to buy our own toilet paper. 2) sliding bathroom door didn’t close all the way and kept rolling open. had to put something behind it to keep it closed. 3) 1 of 2 elevators non-functional the whole stay, no signs of anyone acknowledging it was broken or trying to fix 4) snarky front desk guy for night shift, didn’t look up or greet me when i came in just asked for my name. i came back down to tell him one of the key cards didn’t work he just silently looked at me, paused for awhile, and then just laughed sarcastically saying: “room?”

I was not planning to write a review, but after seeing the review form posted by the elevators, I felt it was important to share my experience.
I understand that this is a college move-in weekend in Gainesville and that hotel rates are much higher than usual. In this case, I paid approximately $525 per night. My main issue is not necessarily the high rate itself, but the level of service and basic amenities provided for that price.
When I arrived in my room, I was surprised to find that there were no complimentary bottles of water or even proper drinking glasses. When I called the front desk, I was told that bottled water is not provided complimentary. I then politely asked if two bottles could be brought to my room, and I was told that the staff member was busy and that it would take about 20 minutes. For a hotel charging more than $500 per night, I found this level of customer service disappointing.
Another issue was the bathroom lighting, which was very limited. It was difficult for me to shave properly, and equally difficult for my wife to apply her makeup.
When a hotel charges a premium rate, especially one as high as $525 per night, guests naturally expect a certain level of comfort, attention, and hospitality. Simple touches such as complimentary water, adequate glassware, good bathroom lighting, and responsive service should be part of that experience.
Unfortunately, in this case, the service and amenities did not match the price being charged.

Hotel simplesmente impecável! Novo, moderno e extremamente bem cuidado. Tudo funciona perfeitamente, desde o check-in até as instalações do quarto.
