This hotel was the best! Clean comfortable room. Breakfast was delicious. The girl at the desk when we checked in was in training and both she and the trainer were very pleasant and knowledgeable. The breakfast wait staff, Aubrey was taking care of the whole dining room, efficiently and very attentive. She had several tables, peppered throughout the dining room and handled it with no signs of impatience. Instead she kept herself composed and just kept moving. Give her a raise or a spa day. She deserves it.

This hands down wins as the WORST hotel stay I've ever had in my entire life. These are not reviews I love to write. The amount of children and teens running around, being loud in the lobby, and hotel staff letting them do it and not pay any mind to it is absolutely baffling. You see a couple with no kids walk in, are you putting them in the room where all the loud kids and people are surrounding their room, or are you putting them on a more quiet floor where there isn't chaos. This place put us next to some of the loudest kids I've ever heard in a hotel, separated by not just a wall, but a door they can play with the handle of. They put us UNDER what seemed to be a stampede. then on our otherside, people who must have been kicking a ball at the wall all the time or banging the wall, I'm just not sure. Not one staff member or manager from the hotel in sight every time we went down there. we'd see staff in the office, but I wouldn't see them on the floor, and especially not telling children to stop running around and disturbing guests. What a shame. This place HAS potential, but the poor judgement from the staff, and the lack of control and standards of the hotel via the staff and management, seems to put this place in the dumps. Room was fairly clean. Bed was missing a fitted sheet, so we slept on a mattress topper all weekend. Room service never came to the room to clean or deliver new towels. Location is great for stuff to do in the small area that it resides. but nothing to write home about. Not too sure about IHG hotels anymore after this one to be honest...

I would not stay here again, I definitely wouldn’t pay more than $80/night for this hotel. Cleanliness is an issue. Bathroom towels and toilet had hair stuck to it, shower glass and fixtures stained of scum, sink had dried tooth paste, the floor and counters wasn’t cleaned, and there were dead love bugs on the bed. You can hear footsteps/movement in the room above you. If I hadn’t been traveling and needed a break from the road, I would’ve asked for a refund and went to another hotel. $140 just wasn’t worth this. I don’t understand this trend of hotels making the lobby luxurious but fall short on the rooms, as if the rooms aren’t the reason of the stay. Don’t be fooled by the bait and switch. The moment you key into your room, it will feel like you’ve entered a motel.

The hotel is nice, clean rooms, but i did not like the customer service at all.. I had a reservation, and i missed adding a payment method to my profile on the IHG app, so i receive a text from a regular number (which normally tend to be scammers), saying that i need to fill a form authorizing to charge my credit card for the room reservation, or else i will lose that booking after a specific time due...... Confirming that i updated the cc information on the file, to give more assirance to my reservation, it still did not work, with the risk of losing my reservation, eventhough i also confirmed that i will be there in person to make sure the front desk gets my cc information physically... In addition to that, i requested a late checkout of only 1 hour....they did not accept... Eventhough the location and the stay is great for events at the Alachua Events Center right opposite to the hotel, but the customer service was not the best at all...which was kind of disappointing and would rather not experience it again...

We stayed at Hotel Indigo Gainesville while attending a volleyball tournament, and I have mixed feelings about this property. On the positive side, the location is excellent. It is very close to the sports facilities, and the surrounding area is pleasant, with restaurants, shops, and a small mall within easy reach. Compared to many of the hotels we have used during volleyball tournaments, it is also reasonably priced. However, the biggest issue was something I have never experienced before. We made our reservation more than six months in advance, paid the required fees, and had written confirmation from the hotel. Yet, before our arrival, we were informed that our reservation might be canceled because the hotel was oversold. We even had to show them the confirmation email we had received. At first, we were told that we could stay the first night and that they would “figure out” the second night later. Fortunately, after insisting and providing proof of our reservation, they honored it. But the fact that a hotel would consider canceling a confirmed reservation made months in advance is simply unacceptable. If they attempted it with us, I can only imagine it has happened to other guests as well. As for the room, it was acceptable, but we were assigned to the sixth floor, where there was a constant and extremely loud mechanical noise. It sounded much worse than a typical air-conditioning unit—more like heavy equipment running nearby. Thankfully, we were exhausted from the tournament and eventually fell asleep, but the noise was disturbing and impossible to ignore. The hotel itself is decent, and the staff was generally polite, but the reservation issue completely undermined our confidence. When you reserve a room six months ahead of time, you should never have to worry about whether you will have a place to stay when you arrive. For that reason, I cannot recommend this hotel, especially the sixth floor, and I would not stay here again
