We recently stayed here as a family and left very happy — this is a hotel I'd recommend without hesitation, especially for families looking for a beachfront Four Seasons experience.
First Impressions & Rooms
From the moment we walked in, it delivered the Four Seasons standard you'd expect — the lobby, social spaces, and our room were all high quality. Our room was spacious, and the highlight was the private terrace with a beach view, which was genuinely wonderful and worth requesting if available.
Staff & Service
Staff throughout the property were great — polite, welcoming, and attentive. This extended to the beach, where the service was a real standout: chairs, umbrellas, towels, and attentive staff made for an easy, relaxing beach day.
Food
The food was good, though pricey — about what you'd expect at a hotel of this caliber. Budget accordingly.
Gym & Pool
This is the one area that was merely fine rather than exceptional. The gym could use more equipment, and while the pools were good for families (shallow, with kids' toys), they weren't a major draw. That said, given the direct beach access, the pool matters less here than it might at a non-beachfront property.
Kids Club
There is a kids club option, but after seeing the space in person, we weren't impressed enough to use it — worth checking out yourself before counting on it for childcare or entertainment.
Neighborhood Note for Families
This is more a neighborhood observation than a hotel critique: walkable options skew toward bars rather than family-friendly spots. We walked 10–15 minutes for ice cream, and the nearest CVS was over a mile away. Not the hotel's fault, but useful to know if you're planning to walk to amenities with kids rather than relying on the hotel or a car.
Bottom Line
A genuinely excellent stay that lived up to the Four Seasons name, with great rooms, staff, and beach service. The gym/pool and kids club are just okay, and the surrounding area isn't especially family-walkable — but neither issue would stop us from returning or recommending it to other families.

**updating my review - had given it 3 stars, but mgmt contacted me and apologized for the valet experience. that being said, the valet price is ASTRONOMICAL for the location... and this FS doesn't really live up to the FS standards IMO. I was genuinely surprised (and not in a great way) by my stay at this Four Seasons. I’m giving the property 3 stars because there was a significant disparity between the level of service being promised and priced here (and expected with the FS name) and the level actually delivered. Much of the service felt closer to what I would expect from a four-star hotel.
The hotel itself is nice, although the rooms felt somewhat soulless, and many of the amenities seem undersized for the number of guests the property accommodates. The pools in particular are incredibly small and crowded. It’s difficult to relax when everyone feels quite literally on top of one another. To be frank, it feels a lot like a cookie cutter Ritz.
The major exception is the gym, which is excellent and easily one of the strongest parts of the property. It’s large, beautifully equipped, and exceptionally well thought out: high-quality strength and cardio equipment, Hyperice massage guns, a Pilates reformer available for guests to use freely, and a dedicated yoga/barre studio. Guests can also access the spa facilities without booking a treatment, which is a nice touch.
The restaurant and pool staff were another highlight. They were warm, personable, remembered my name, and generally delivered the level of hospitality I expect from Four Seasons.
That said, shortly after arriving at the pool around 2 p.m., I ordered food because I was famished. It took more than 45 minutes to arrive despite the pool not appearing particularly busy, and it seemed fairly clear that the order had been forgotten. To their credit, they recognized the miss and comped the meal.
Unfortunately, that became one of several examples of a broader lack of attentiveness throughout the stay.
Both entrances to the hotel have very heavy doors, yet there was no one stationed at either entrance to open them for guests. Having to wrestle with a heavy hotel door isn’t a major hardship, obviously, but at a property of this caliber, it was genuinely strange. I’ve truly never been to a FS property without a doorman. This was not a random hour that I experienced this… this was 24hr/day. These are precisely the small points of friction that luxury hospitality is supposed to remove from the guest experience. I’ve heard it said that a guest should never touch a door handle at FS (of course I don’t know if that’s formal training but…).
That same lack of anticipatory attention showed up in smaller ways. FS is normally exceptional at noticing guest needs without being asked. Something as simple as leaving eyeglasses out will routinely result in housekeeping leaving a lens-cleaning cloth beside them. Here, that level of detail just wasn’t present. (This is the first FS of over a dozen I’ve stayed at where they didn’t do this)
Valet was probably the most difficult miss to reconcile with. Parking is $63 per night (beyond nightly rate - an astronomically wild number for the Fort Lauderdale location), yet I arrived in an EV with less than a 50% charge and it was returned without being charged, something other Four Seasons and comparable five-star properties have routinely handled during my stays. More surprisingly, when I departed, no one even assisted me with putting my suitcase into the trunk. Paying $63 for valet parking and then loading my own luggage into the car was frankly bizarre.
None of these details individually would define a stay. Taken together, they reveal a level of service that simply did not match the FS name.
There were things I genuinely enjoyed here, particularly the excellent gym and the lovely restaurant and pool staff. But Four Seasons normally distinguishes itself through anticipatory service: noticing the guest, anticipating the need, and handling the small details without being asked. That consistency was noticeably absent here.

This is a great place to relax. The staff is very kind, and both the pool and the ocean are fantastic. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay.
Unfortunately, there was a small disappointment on our last day. I asked for help with something very simple through the chat. I messaged them three times, in the morning, in the afternoon, and again in the evening, but for some reason I never received a response. It was a little disappointing, especially since I was only asking for help with a small request.
Other than that, we had a very positive experience. This is the only reason I am giving 4 stars instead of 5.

This was our first stay with the Four Seasons and it was absolutely incredible!! We came to celebrate my birthday and they made sure to make each day special for me. We spent majority of our time between the beach and pool, and they also offer beachside service so we didn’t have to leave the beach for lunch. On top of that, they have cold water, sunscreen, and even boogey boards at the beach to have fun with in the water. Our server Elina was continuously checking in and fun to chat with! Evelyn’s was great for all meals so we didn’t have to leave the resort as well as Honey Fitz downstairs to grab a quick bite or drink before dinner.
The spa was a 10/10, highly recommend getting a treatment during your stay here. They even surprised us with post-massage Prosecco as a birthday celebration!
It was also super easy to get in touch with the staff for anything at all. They are so attentive and always quick to help, which made everything feel effortless. We come here often for some relaxation time and moving forward, we will only stay at the Four Seasons when we visit Ft. Lauderdale!!

Our recent stay at the Four Seasons Fort Lauderdale was nothing short of exceptional—a seamless and memorable experience for our family of four. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that every member of the team operates with the precision and quiet excellence of a well-oiled machine, each one striving for perfection in every detail.
What made the visit particularly special was the genuine warmth and generosity of General Manager Mali Carow. Knowing our children’s deep interest in the hospitality industry, she kindly took the time to meet with them, patiently answering their questions about operations, culinary philosophy, and the exacting standards of five-star service. It was a rare and thoughtful gesture that left a lasting impression on all of us.
Throughout our stay, the entire staff consistently went above and beyond, elevating every moment into something truly refined. Meals at both restaurants were outstanding—thoughtfully prepared, beautifully presented, and thoroughly enjoyable. The complimentary kids club, meanwhile, proved far more than childcare; it was thoughtfully designed with the curiosity and engagement of a STEM program, giving our children an experience that was both enriching and fun.
If you’re reading these reviews and wondering whether you should book, take this as a sign that you should book without hesitation and leave everything to the staff. In every respect, this was money exceptionally well spent. The Four Seasons Fort Lauderdale delivers not just luxury, but a level of care and excellence that feels both effortless and deeply intentional. We left inspired, restored, and already looking forward to our return.
