  I give it a 3/5 only because the front desk, specifically Emily, was so nice. When we first got in the room the previous family left their kids toy on the floor which I was surprised didn’t get picked up by housekeeping until the following day when they completely skipped over our room. They didn’t replenish towels, change trash, put new coffee cups out, or even give us an extra roll of toilet paper when we ran out. They never made the bed or changed the sheets which they did do last year when we stayed here. I called the front desk to ask why they skipped over us and she asked if we had a do not disturb sign on the door which we did not. They did finally come in the next day and give us new towels and changed the trash but that was it. Still didn’t make the beds, change the sheets, or give us any coffee cups. They never even got the kids toy out of the room. It was still laying in the floor when we checked out. We went down to the lobby to ask for towels and I spoke to another woman staying there who said housekeeping left someone’s bra and kids toys in her bed and made them in her bedsheets. This makes me think they don’t change the sheets in between guests but rather just make the bed up. Additionally there was black mold on the ceiling in the bathroom.

  Priscilla was absolutely amazing from the time I called in 2 days earlier and throughout my entire stay! She has a great personality and wants to ensure that you get everything you need to be comfortable! Also, Tom in management made sure that he was available at anytime if there was an issue! Overall, great experience for my family vacation! I would definitely recommend this location!

  I travel to Daytona from Orlando frequently. I like to get away alone from time to time. This isn't your fancy style resort but it's perfect for a weekend get away. I stay in the premium king oceanfront with balcony. Beautiful view! Small couch with seating area, desk space, very comfortable bed that offers firm or soft pillows. Rooms are updated and clean. I always feel safe here! The staff is wonderful and so friendly! Great food and drinks in the restaurant. The food truck is right in front of the hotel for a mid day snack. They have a dj on Saturdays and pool is very refreshing!

  Just left this location without staying so cannot comment on the rooms but the lobby was nice enough. Tried to add one last night to our family vacation to see Daytona Beach and fireworks to celebrate the 4th of July but when I arrived to check in my reservations for 3 rooms, booked through Expedia with the “pay at the location” option, were cancelled at approximately 9am this morning by a Holiday Inn employee due to the fact that he could not collect one night of taxes on my credit card. Apparently someone sent me an email this morning but I failed to see it because I’m on VACATION!! Nancy the supervisor did everything she could to try to help but due to high demand all she could offer was one room with a queen bed and a reclining chair. Let me add the room was on the 4th floor and had a full size refrigerator and plenty of floor space for 4 more adults to sleep on comforters. She was willing to throw in 2 free alcoholic drinks a piece while we hung out in our crowded room and watched fireworks. Please note all of this is taking place at 330pm. I was not late to check in. I guess the Holiday Inn employee was too busy to call my cell number listed in the reservation to ask questions or for payment. Thanks Holiday Inn, all this because you couldn’t collect $23.00 this morning. I booked those rooms a couple months ago for a total of $685. I bet you made a killing off a same day booking on the 4th of July. My family and I will continue our drive North and when we stop will not be staying at a Holiday Inn. *while in the lobby trying to work things out a “loyal IHG” member felt it necessary to insert his two cents by saying Expedia is terrible and I should just booked directly through IHG. For the record, I’ve used Expedia for booking sites in Denmark, Greece, Finland, and multiple US states and never had this issue. My problem today was caused by an over zealous IHG employee and his coworker tried but could not fix his error. No apologies were offered by the hotel staff.

  Great location, good intentions, not quite there.. I submitted a review 3 weeks ago to the IHG site and it did not appear? I reposted it 2 days ago and their system bunched all of the comments below into one run-on paragraph, making it read like it was from a 4th grader. I called IHG to comment - waste of time.... We were there for 2 nights and called at 2 pm asking for a slight early check in on 5/31 Sunday. We were told they were full the previous night and we would have to wait. We called again @ 2:30, 3, 3:30 - same answer. Great response for Rewards member... We arrive about 4 pm (check in time) and still no rooms. At 4:15, Emily offers us a " King Premium Oceanfront Balcony" on the 3rd floor overlooking the parking lot and I can see there will be a bright spotlight all night. We declined it and she found us a room on the 6th floor. Positives and Negatives: 1. The rooms are a good size and nicely renovated. A few dark spots by the bureau, but pleasant. 2. Bathroom is well appointed and well lit. 3. We had to call for maintenance because the bed side plugs were not working. Prompt response from an attentive engineer. 4. Some makeup stains on the pillow case - we called the desk and advised only. They changed it the next day. 5. Housekeeper was very friendly and cordial, even though one could see they were having LONG DAYS. Full house on a weekend and one of the two elevators out of order??? 6. It started to rain and we ate in the restaurant. Kimberly was wonderful - very few customers... 7. We also had breakfast the next day and it was pleasant and well prepared. 8.Priscilla at checkout had a GREAT attitude and smile and even gave us a card to encourage us to offer a review. I know this business and industry, having been in it my entire career. The review title says it all: Great location, good intentions, not quite there..
