  Having stayed here previously with good experiences, we booked for a visit to see about a relative in the hospital. The first night was okay but the property had a noticeably musty, stuffy smell. The room also had many noticeable nicks, scuffs and the like. On the second day, our key cards deactivated (most likely from being by our cell phones). We went to the front desk and my room keys worked but my relatives didn’t. The young man at the front desk came up twice and my relatives still couldn’t get in the room. So a nice lady in housekeeping opened the room. My relatives were moved then moved to another room and the TV didn’t work. My relatives were then moved to a third room and that TV wasn’t getting a signal for the channels. This all happened within a hour so we just decided to leave. We want to emphasize that while the service was good, the upkeep and quality of the amenities has gone down significantly in the last year.

  Arriving at the hotel the grounds and the building look nice. The person at the front desk offered no greeting and rushed through the check-in process she answered the phone instead of asking me if I had any questions or needs, I had to proceed to another person.

  Only option for breakfast is the buffet for $21. Not even a breakfast bar at the convenience store. Not everyone wants to eat a full buffet. I’ve never stayed in a hotel that offered only ONE choice for their guests! Very disappointed. Would not stay at another Holiday In if this was the case. Too many other good hotels that have choices!!!

  When I arrived at the hotel at 9PM the front desk lady was in the office chatting online as I stood in the front waiting to check in. She took her sweet time in coming out to attend me. My room was filled with ticks,fleas and bedbugs . I told the front desk person and he did not say anything to me not even an apology. All the stair exit doors were almost impossible to open. The door to my room 312 was jammed and I had to use a lot of force to open it. The closest and best thing about this hotel is the 7 eleven three blocks away but if you are looking for nearby food you are in bad luck. I have two service dogs and I provided the front desk with the copy of the service dog letter the hotel still when ahead and charged me $50 per dog on my credit card. I typically do not write reviews but I had no choice but to this one so I can at least save someone from committing the same error I did on staying at this dump. Oh,…last thing the TV did not work.
