  Soy dueña en otro Westgate Resort vine a este por primera vez y me reciben en la recepción qué me quieren dar una habitación afuera del Resort sin acceso directo a la piscina y la amenidades del Resort y en un segundo piso donde no tienen elevador y estoy viajando con mi madre que tiene 82 años, las habitaciones no me parecen muy comodas, son oscuras, ya que no tienen ventanas en los cuartos ni balcones y las 6 lavadoras y 6 secadoras están afuera en un pasillo para las 100 habitaciones que tiene todo el Resort, imagínense y todavía quieren que haga una actualización para hacerme dueña aqui, lo unico positivo que tiene es que puedes ir caminando a la playa qué queda a menos de media cuadra, pero pilas traigan sus sombrillas y sillas para que no tengan que rentarlas.

  We come to Westgate Cocoa Beach every year for vacation. The rooms are the perfect size for our family. The beach access is super convenient and the pool area is great for the kids with the splash pad and lazy river. The staff are extremely nice and helpful and the program director Stevie Zimmerman is awesome. He does a comedy show on site and is hilarious so that’s something I would definitely check out while you are here! Overall I would recommend this resort for anyone coming to Cocoa Beach due to the amenities it offers and the location to surrounding restaurants and stores like Ron Jon’s.

  We had a fantastic vacation at Westgate Resort in Cocoa Beach. The resort was clean, well-maintained, and the hospitality was exceptional from start to finish. We were there at the beginning of May which happens to be too early to see any of the bioluminescence wildlife that occurs later in the season, however the weather was an absolutely perfect temperature for swimming and being in the lazy river! A special thank you to Sue and Mackayla at the bar for their friendly service and great personalities, and to Steve, our MC, who kept everyone entertained. Everyone we encountered went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Highly recommend

  My parents are Westgate Owners, but this was out 1st time coming to the Cocoa beach resort. We typically go to Daytona Beach and those rooms are right by the pool and the pool is right on the beach. The only thing that I missed was the easy access to the pool and beach, but the layout of this resort did not allow easy access to both and my family decided the pool area was priority. We had 1st floor access and right by the gate that entered the pool and we were extremely happy with our room location. The rooms are really nice and plenty of space for even 5 people! We had joining rooms with my aunt, uncle, and cousins which was perfect! The Westgate resort we typically go to in Daytona does not have any entertainment by the pool, but THIS resort had PLENTY of entertainment! There were moments that we all felt like we were on a cruise ship! Each day there were poolside games, bingo, line dancing, and crafts for kids. On our last day, they held a Mrs. And Mr. Westgate pagant which was super funny. The two gentlemen in charge of activities each day were AMAZING and funny! Robin and Steve were excellent and really helped to make our vacation even better! Steve had a comedy show on Wednesday night and we were laughing the entire time. Steve and Robin really got to know everyone at the pool and remembered our names and where we are from. The Tiki bar was great overall, but the machine for the pina coladas got really "melty" and each time I tried to get one, the bar tender had to add another flavor to thicken the drink up... maybe have another machine for pina coladas. I tried all week long for just a plain one, but everything else I ordered was EXCELLENT! Sue, the bartender, was great as well! Not her fault about the machine/Pina coladas. The only critiques that I have of the resort is that I believe the pools should close at 11pm instead of 10pm. We were wishing to hang out in the hot tub and by the pool longer, but no one was even allowed in the gated area after 10pm. If anything just stop the swimming, but let everyone hang out at the tables a bit longer, but atleast they had a deck closer to the beach we could hang out at later. The deck was located by the ocean front rooms, but we had to walk a little bit...

  I would very seriously rethink staying here as all the amenities are not as they seem. The current Facebook posts are fictitious. Westgate why aren’t you posting on Facebook that the river is out of service? With the price that is charged guests shouldn’t have to accept that amenities are not available. This is our 30th year in a row coming to this hotel. We were coming well before Westgate bought it, back when it was called Wakulla and was privately owned by the family. We received a call last Saturday informing us that the lazy river was out of service as there was an “emergency”. We still proceeded with our planned vacation, upon checking in last Sunday 6/7 the receptionist told us at the very latest the river would be back in service by Tuesday 6/9. Upon checking in the receptionist told us the parts had been ordered to arrive Monday. Tuesday morning 6/9 we wake up and go out to the pool to be told by maintenance that now the hot tub, kid pool, adult pool, and the splash pad are also out of service with the reason being during the night the automatic chlorination system malfunctioned. In house maintenance attempted to fix the river mechanics and couldn’t. Late in the evening on Tuesday finally everything reopened with the exception of the river. Yesterday Thursday 6/11 the activities director Steve announced that the river would be back open. The river was never opened yesterday, there was an outside pool company that worked until 8pm last night on the river. Why was the outside pool company not initially called? It’s not like Westgate doesn’t have the funds to pay for it. I stopped and spoke with one of the workers, from the outside pool company, he told me more parts had to be ordered to include a new filtration system and a new pump. Many guests had stated since last Thursday the river hadn’t been working. We then checked out this morning Friday 6/12, we asked would we be comped anything off the bill by Westgate and were denied. We were in room 514A, we are very disappointed and dissatisfied with the customer service. Westgate you’re not being truthful with your guests, you’re still charging the regular amount without all the amenities. This just isn’t good business.
