  Cory at the front desk is an amazing employee! I’m a delivery driver and was dropping something off for a guest, and I got to witness firsthand how helpful he is. He went above and beyond and provided excellent customer service. Definitely wanted to give him a shoutout because employees like Cory deserve to be recognized!

  Disappointing Stay – Uncooperative Management & Poor Property Conditions While the frontline staff and maintenance team were absolutely fantastic, our overall experience at the Holiday Inn Clearwater was terrible. We stayed here last year for a month with zero issues, but this year was a complete disappointment. Humidity & Odor: Our room was excessively humid to the point that all our clothing and beds felt completely wet. We inspected a second room, but it suffered from the exact same issue. There was also an awful smell throughout. Maintenance kindly brought us a dehumidifier, but it ran so loudly that we couldn't sleep. Appliance Issues: The room refrigerator was freezing all of our food and, more importantly, my insulin. Maintenance adjusted the temperature setting, but it didn't solve the problem, rendering the fridge unusable. Pool Area: The pool was unusable, cloudy, filthy, and surrounded by discarded dirty towels. Because access to the property is overly open, many non-guests/drifters were using the pool as well. When we brought these major inconvenience and health safety issues to the manager, Troy, he was entirely uncooperative and refused to offer reasonable compensation for our experience. Aside from the hard-working employees who tried their best, the state and management of this property have severely declined. We were forced to leave and go to a different hotel. We will not be returning.

  We just made it here and are very happy we chose this hotel for our weekend trip. David checked us in and he is so pleasant, absolutely wonderful customer service!

  I STRONGLY RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL FOR TRAVELERS LOOKING TO MOVE TO OR VACATION IN THE TAMPA/CLEARWATER/ST PETE REGION. FROM THE CLEANLINESS OF THESE SPACIOUS ROOMS TO THE AMMENETIES INCLUDING GYM, CLEAN SPACIOUS POOL WITH OUTDOOR FURNITURE, A BREAKFAST BUFFET- FRESH DAILY- COFFEE MACHINES CLEANED DAILY WITH VINEGAR.. I MEAN I WAS TOTALLY BLOWN AWAY... ALSO ON PREMISE LAUNDRY AND "FRESCA" THE ITALIAN HOME MADE AUTHENTIC FAMILY FROM SICILY WITH COOKING THAT TASTES LIKE MOMS! HALF HOUR TO TAMPA HARD ROCK- 20 MINS TO TPA AND ILL GIVE YOU THE GEM OF ALL GEMS- VISIT NORTH CLEARWATER BEACH AND EAT OUTSIDE AT "FRENCHY'S ROCKAWAY GRILLE!" ALSO- THE COMPLETE STAFF COURTEOUS, FRIENDLY, HELPFUL- A RARE 10 OUT OF 10 ALL TO THE MANAGENMENT OF DAVID!- SALUTE TO YOU DAVID!- Joe from NY!

  We had a wonderful stay at The Holiday Inn Express & Suites in Clearwater! We normally stay with Hilton, but we will be back here. This is a very nice, clean, and well maintained hotel, centrally located near popular sites and activities. There is so much available within 30 minutes from the hotel. There are stores, restaurants within walking distance, topgolf, a nice Mall, and the beach of course. Our room, a double queen suite, was immaculate, spacious, quiet, and comfortable. The entire staff was awesome, kind, and helpful from the moment we arrived. We truly enjoyed the pool and the delicious breakfast. I would be remiss in this review to not mention a few of the staff. First, I must mention the ONE not so good egg in the basket. Ed was brusk, unfriendly, and borderline rude. He didn't seem to like his job or people. The next day, I requested to speak to the manager, and Troy responded quickly. He listened carefully and sincerely apologized. Ed's attitude was the only "issue" in my entire 5 night stay, as the rest of the staff were on point. Luis, who took care of the breakfast, was super friendly. He was amiable and spoke to everyone. He even helped an older couple get situated with breakfast. Crystal's friendly smile at the front desk was a repeated breath of fresh air. David was incredibly helpful to everyone he encountered at the desk, on the phone, and in the lobby. Corey is the crown, as he made us feel at home. He absolutely went the extra mile with popcorn, conversation, and directions. These folks epitomized customer service and dedication. There attitude made it seem like they were on vacation along with us, as apposed to being at work.
