- RMRachel Marsella4 days ago1.0I’m usually an IHG girl, I love their hotels and stay at them often when I travel. Unfortunately, this Holiday Inn Express completely missed the mark. This hotel is in desperate need of a major renovation. Our room did not feel clean or well maintained. The paint on the walls appeared only partially completed, and the stains on the bathroom wall were especially unpleasant. I was traveling with my elderly parents, so having a working elevator was important. Unfortunately, the ONE and ONLY elevator was broken more often than it was working during our three-day stay. Upon check-in I had to carry all our suitcases up the stairs because it was out of service. (I should’ve left then!) What made the situation even more frustrating was the lack of communication. The staff was disengaged, and there was no sign posted or notice given to guests. Several people on our floor were left waiting and wondering why the elevator was taking so long. I had to tell them it was down. The person behind the desk seemed to not care or offer any apologies when I informed her the elevator was down. This stay was a huge disappointment and not at all what I have come to expect from IHG. If you’re traveling to Wilmington, Delaware, I strongly recommend staying somewhere else. Don’t waste your money.

As a diamond elite member, I’ve never dealt with an IHG hotel holding funds for this long. Instead of admitting fault, they brush it off and shift blame to a bank that literally never holds onto funds once released.
- GGgaancadaAug 24, 20261.0The building looks new and rooms are nice. However, I had a mouse in my room. Went and got a new room, but could not sleep well thinking that mice are running around the hotel. Makes me wonder if the food they serve is safe from rodents.
