  Had a wonderful stay! Lovely room with a balcony. Hotel has a warm and welcoming environment and Rashell was so incredibly helpful. Thank you to Rashell and the rest of the team at Staybridge Suites in Lewes!

  I was ready to write a glowing, 5 star review for this hotel because we really did enjoy our stay, but unfortunately, it ended badly. An hour and a half after we checked out we realized my husband had forgotten to grab 3 swim trunks from the hooks behind the bathroom door. I immediately called and asked for them to set his clothes aside so we could pick them up when we returned to the area 2 days later. When we arrived to pick them up, they were nowhere to be found and they basically said we were out of luck. So I don't know if they threw them out or someone took them, but it sounds like they need a better protocol for left items. I know we should have checked the room better, but it's not like we called days later. It was exactly 98 minutes after we checked out. Besides that, the hotel is very nice. We enjoyed the breakfast, happy hour, and pool. Unfortunately, losing $150 worth of swimsuits totally ruined our view of this hotel.

  Our first time stay was great. Easy access with ample parking. Location great to food and shopping. Less than 10 minutes from the Lewes/Cape May ferry.

  Firstly i want to begin this by saying we were only at this property for about 6 hours as of me posting this review and based on the short time we’ve been here i can say that the location is great, this hotel is near every store you could need and/or want to visit, it’s also about a 15 minute drive from the beach itself which all went into why we picked to stay here. The property grounds overall was clean, our hotel room had a few hiccups here and there that need some attention (i.e stains on the carpet, couch and curtains the room was humid, hot and smelly upon entry) but we did not raise any concerns about any of these things as the rest of the room seemed clean otherwise. The employees we encountered were all very courteous and helpful especially given what our stay ended up becoming… Unfortunately about two hours ago (around 10:30-11PM) as we were settling in for the evening we found that our room was completely infested with fleas. There were dogs walking around the hotel so evidently animals are allowed at this property and whoever last stayed in our room must’ve had a dog with a flea problem. We understand that this isn’t exactly the hotel’s fault but if this is a property that allows animals — any room that an animal was present in should be sprayed, bug bombed and thoroughly cleaned and inspected for fleas and other bugs as a precaution to prevent issues such as this. We were offered a new room but being that I have personally dealt with fleas before with my own pet and am very aware of how easy they can spread/reproduce and how HARD it is to get rid of them fully - I refused to take the chance of remaining here. (the rooms and hallways are carpeted, anybody who’s ever dealt with fleas know they LOVE to hide and reproduce in carpet). good location overall but this was simply unacceptable and we expect a full refund..

  It’s been a pleasure staying here. During our extended stay(3months) starting from check in and till checkout everybody’s been highly professional and hospitable. We would like to thank Rashell, Britney and Bryant for always being helpful and nice, Kathy and Alison for making sure our breakfasts were delicious and mornings were good, great appreciation to housekeeping team for keeping the place clean and cozy. We had a lovely suite with a balcony, the hotel is also pet friendly which was very important for us. Gym and pool are nice perks for sure. Overall experience was excellent. Highly recommend!
