Our son's family lives in DC and we been coming for the last 5 year visiting our grandkids. The hotel is around the corner from our son's place so it's very convenient to pop in and out, especially during Covid time. Prices vary based on time of year. It has vary from $200 to $400 per night excluding taxes, amenities and parking (Add another $175 to each night). This stay it was $675 per night. We wanted to stay 3 nights but @$2,200, we decided to do 2 nights for $1,565. This doesn't include $50 parking/night. This is so crazy and so unfair, because we found out it was due to GeorgeTown, and two other graduation this weekend.

The rooms are spacious and there are great places to work: a nice desk in the room and a laptop friendly space in the dining/restaurant area. The service here is excellent. The staff are very friendly and welcoming: Ceda was especially kind. She made sure my mom and I got a complimentary coffee on our way out. The only downside of this location is that it is near a bar/clubbing district. If you are staying here on a Friday or Saturday night, bring ear plugs.

The property is gorgeous, well kept and there is something to see around every corner. The pups obviously adore it- I have never seen so many well behaved, quiet lux dogs in one place. Valet was a standout experience. Tamerat and Abera went so far out of their way to assist me. I thought I lost my phone and they jumped at the chance to help- retracing my footsteps through the hotel, asking busters and servers- it’s so nice to see a new company in the mix- and these guys were doing it right. True hospitality.

I had a really great stay at The Line Hotel in DC. The building itself is super cool. It used to be a historic church, and they’ve done an amazing job keeping that character while making everything feel modern and comfortable. The location in Adams Morgan is a big plus. There’s always something going on, and you’re surrounded by great food, music, and energy. The rooms were surprisingly spacious, especially for DC, with lots of light and a really relaxed vibe. It actually felt like a place you could unwind, not just crash for the night. What stood out the most, though, was the staff. Everyone was genuinely friendly and helpful without being over the top, which made the whole experience feel easy and welcoming. I’d definitely recommend staying here. No hesitation at all.

We stayed one night at The Line in DC and will not be coming back. The hotel is clearly understaffed and poorly managed. We completed the online check-in form and noted a 2:00 PM arrival time. When we arrived, we were told our room was not ready - which we understood, given check-in time is listed as 3:00 PM, so we went to a nearby cafe. However, upon returning at 3:00 PM, we encountered a long line with only one staff member working the front desk. After waiting, we were informed that our room was still not ready. At 3:40 PM, we were offered an “upgrade” to a suite, which sounded promising until we got there and found it was on a low floor facing a brick wall. We had paid extra for a corner king with a monument view, so this wasn’t comparable. After going back downstairs again, we were reassigned to a different room - still no view. This room appeared to be a "District King" which was a lower class than what we paid for. The receptionist also said that the manager on duty did not show up for work, so she could not fix the situation. It didn’t get better. The bed in our room had no pillows. Calls to housekeeping and the front desk went unanswered, so I had to go back down (again) and ask in person. Pillows finally showed up around 4:30 PM. The thermostat also didn’t work, leaving the room uncomfortably hot all night. The most unbelievable part: while we were waiting in the lobby around 3:30 PM, a guest dropped a bottle of tequila, leaving broken glass and liquid in the middle of the floor. No staff was at the front desk to handle the situation, so another guest grabbed a caution sign and put it over the spill. The next morning at 8 AM, the broken glass was still sitting there in the middle of the lobby. That pretty much sums up the experience. Would not recommend.
