  Christopher made our very special VIP corporate dinner at The Jefferson truly exceptional. From the planning through the evening itself, his professionalism, attention to detail, and genuine care were outstanding. Everything was beautifully executed, the food was incredible, and our guests absolutely loved the experience. Christopher is one of those rare professionals who makes you feel completely confident that every detail is being handled. He was a huge part of why our evening was so successful and memorable. I would absolutely recommend hosting an event at The Jefferson and, specifically, working with Christopher. I would trust him with another corporate event or even an important personal celebration without hesitation. Five stars, and very well deserved.

  Gorgeous old hotel with beautiful quiet and plush rooms. Staff very very friendly and helpful. Our room was too cold and the thermostat didn’t seem to work. Called the front desk, they explained that the ac had recently been upgraded on the floor and fixed the temperature remotely. They called back after 30 minutes to check if everything was ok.

Recently, we had the pleasure of producing two back-to-back weddings at the stunning and truly gorgeous The Jefferson, Washington, DC—and WOW! From the moment you arrive on the property, you know you’re somewhere special. The valet team doesn’t simply take your car keys; they welcome you as if you’ve returned home. Both sets of brides and grooms genuinely felt at home, and within minutes of arriving, our guests were treated to a true VIP experience at one of the most refined luxury hotels in Washington, DC. Thanks to the impeccable customer service and attention to detail of Christopher, we experienced two nearly flawless event executions. Christopher is a super fast lightning speed communicator. He's always there when you need him and truly goes above and beyond at every chance he gets. It's in the small details that go a mile when you’re working with private event clients who are celebrating one of the most important days of their lives—and who have entrusted all of us to help bring their vision to life. So impressive! The food was spectacular, and the kitchen and service teams were among the most polished we’ve encountered in the industry. They absolutely rocked the house! Finally, all of these wonderful moving parts and team collaborations were led by our longtime colleague, Golnaz, Director of Corporate and Social Events. It was such an honor to work alongside her and experience her phenomenal leadership firsthand. We can’t wait to bring our next event to The Jefferson and collaborate again with Golnaz, Christopher, and their GOLD-STANDARD, brilliant team—from the front desk to the executive leadership.   We stayed at The Jefferson in early July, timed around America's 250th, and it was our first visit, and it's now our favorite hotel in DC, ahead of the Conrad, Hay-Adams, Canopy, and Waldorf Astoria, all of which we've also stayed at. (The Conrad's the outlier of that group anyway, tucked out by the convention center rather than centrally located like the rest.) Our Deluxe King room was quiet, comfortable, and clearly well-built; the walk-in shower alone, with real water pressure and a rain shower head, was a small luxury we didn't expect. We'd mentioned it was a special occasion when booking, and arrived to find a thoughtful, unannounced treat waiting in the room. Bernadeth called ahead of our stay to ask about any requests, then handled our check-in herself and was fantastic throughout. Abdenour, the doorman, was attentive and professional every time we passed him, and Jennifer, the concierge, went out of her way to help with details big and small. We'd also requested a clothes steamer and tea kettle in advance; both were already in the room when we arrived. Quill, the hotel bar, became a daily habit, upscale but comfortable, with a wine list worth taking seriously and a crème brûlée that rivaled versions we've had in France. One evening a pianist named Mike was playing, which made an already good night better. Smaller touches added up too: help-yourself Southern-style iced tea in the lobby, a genuinely pleasant library with coffee and tea each morning, and bathrobes and slippers comfortable enough that we didn't want to give them back. However, the carpet in our room showed some wear, and the AC, while it worked fine even through a record-breaking heat wave, could've had a bit more punch. Minor points against an otherwise excellent stay. It's not a budget hotel, but between multi-night discounts and seasonal specials we noticed on their site, it's a strong value relative to what you're getting, and relative to the other hotels on our list above, it's the one we'd go back to.

  My sister and I had an extraordinary time at The Jefferson. Stepping into the property is like stepping into a piece of history: gleaming marble floors, the vaulted ceiling of the greenhouse dining room, a mahogany library, and Parisian-inspired furnishings. We were greeted by a friendly valet and bellhop, eager to welcome us and help with our luggage. The concierge, Ryan, was an absolute pleasure to interact with. He checked us in early and even upgraded us to a suite without our having to ask. The suite was immaculate, a foyer separated the space, keeping the living area completely distinct from the bedroom. The bathroom was elegantly appointed, with a mirror-embedded television and a bathtub outfitted with a bath pillow, a tub-side rack for a glass of champagne, and bath salts. In-room dining was stellar; upon arrival, we were presented with delicious pastries and a fresh bucket of ice. We ventured out for a family gathering, and when we returned, we were stunned to find the best turndown service we've ever experienced: the corners of the bed folded down, slippers placed beside it, and water carafes set on each nightstand. We woke to morning room service, a pot of coffee and fresh-squeezed orange juice, and I was beyond impressed by the lovely greenhouse dining room and its exceptional attention to detail. Upon being seated, we were both given a footstool for our feet or our bags. We enjoyed a decadent stack of banana chocolate chip pancakes with maple syrup and a cheesy three-egg omelet. Every detail of our stay was outstanding, and we'll definitely be back anytime we're in Washington, DC.
