My family and I travel often and have stayed in a lot of hotels. Hotel Zena was by far one of the best experiences. Sardia greeted us immediately once we arrived with kindness and a lot of useful information. She accommodated an early check in and helped us with everything we needed. It's a BEAUTIFUL, clean, and spacious hotel for DC. The food is top tier and probably the only place who was able to cook over medium eggs correctly. All of the staff were kind and helpful and treated us like family. The location is great. We will be choosing hotel Zena for all of our trips to DC going forward (mostly to see the wonderful Sardia!) 11/10!

I stayed here earlier this week with my family while attending a conference in town. We chose to check out Hotel Zena instead of staying closer to the convention center, and it was a great decision. The property has a unique aesthetic focused on women's empowerment.
Arrival & Service
Arrival, check-in, and valet were entirely smooth and professional. A huge shout-out to Sardia at the front desk. She was fantastic from start to finish, explaining all the amenities during a friendly check-in and ensuring our bill was perfectly accurate at check-out.
The Room & Location
The room was clean, well-maintained, and comfortable. We had no issues at all and got a great night's sleep each evening. The location of the hotel is also excellent and made getting around very easy.
Amenities
The lobby features a pool table, which my daughters loved and played several times during our stay. They also checked out the rooftop pool, but since the weather was incredibly hot outside, they didn't stay long.
Overall
We definitely enjoyed our time here. Between the great amenities for the kids and the stellar service from Sardia, we would absolutely recommend Hotel Zena for a D.C. stay.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Zena. All of the staff that I interacted with were amazing. The decor in my Studio King Bed suite (as well as the view from my suite) was spectacular. I don't think the windows are sound proof, so you can hear emergency vehicle sirens or a car horn a little bit. That didn't bother me, so I still give it a 5 star. My pork tostadas and drinks from the Figleaf Bar (in the hotel lobby) were really good! Also, there are no ice machines on the hallways, you have to request a bucket of ice.

We were staying at the hotel across the street. On Thursday night, there were people on the rooftop of the Zena hotel with a huge party. Even in the hotel next door we could still hear it loud and clear. Thursday! They partied until 12! On Saturday night they partied again. We could still hear it and even feel the vibrations of some of the speakers and could not fall asleep. We tried contacting our hotel’s front desk, but they said many people had already filed noise complaints, but the police had done nothing to help. They partied until 1 in the morning. They are not the only ones around! Terrible establishment, extremely inconsiderate!

It took me a while to think about what I would write as a review because I am so obsessed with the bartender that works there name Lex
She was actually the reason why this was my second time coming back to this location she even remembered me and my sister, which made us feel overly impressed and welcomed! Her customer service, efficiency and hospitality was amazing. 10 out of 10!!!! However everything else was not as I enjoyed the last trip they messed up our rooms as well as Incorrectly charged us that frustrated the whole process of checking in and checking out. This may have been my last time going there. I hate to say but Lex really is the reason I won’t be going into any more details about how horrible the check-in and check out experience was. I hope they keep her and appreciates her as much as we did!
