  BEST RESTAURANT EVER, I was bloated after eating. They cook medium rare cheeseburgers INSANLEY WELL, and the buffalo chicken wings are the best. Its also better than the cheesecake factory. 100/10!!! Also the room service does well, showers and bathroom are awesome. clean beds, and big rooms. Good rooftop pool and gym. Overall very sanitary. 100/10 AGAIN!!!

  Quite frankly, even though the hotel is a little dated, the people that served us went above and beyond, and the location is superb for going to all of the great things we wanted to visit while in Washington DC!!!! Our room attendant made sure everything was well stocked, and we never needed anything with her. Excellent care. They actually brought a microwave to our room because they did have one available and a comforter since my wife was a little chilly. Rarely do we have service this good. But I do want to stress the location of this hotel is the best reason to stay here if you’re going to walk to different museums.

  We need to first off praise the customer service with the front desk service. This front desk manager Chris is wonderful and helpful, great attitude, and seems to enjoy his Job. Very refreshing to see and appreciate it. We also want to shout out to Ricky the concierge! He was helpful, enjoyable, and friendly. We so appreciated all the wisdom he gave us on DC so service with the hotels fabulous. The location is fabulous. My only thought is they need to replace the rugs in the bedrooms they’re bit other than that great!

  I would like to recognize a front desk Staff at Holiday Inn Washington Capitol - Natl Mall by IHG. His name is Christopher who work on 8/7/2026 night 6pm. I couldn't find any convenient store near by to buy mineral water for my family. I understand that this hotel doesn't commit to provide mineral water for the hotel guest. However, Christopher take extra effort to find and give me some mineral water from his fridge. This save my time to work 20 minutes to the closet store to buy water at night! Thanks for Christopher's outstanding customer service manner to help me!

  Overall, it was a decent stay considering the price. The location is very convenient! Pros: AC works very well, and was on blasting when we checked in, even though it was very late (after 1 am). This was very appreciated. Also I like how it stays on even when you leave--I've stayed at hotels where it auto turns off after X amount of hours to save energy. The refrigerator also stays on all the time-- I've had a different hotel experience somewhere else where it was a "cooler " unit, and only cooled for a few hours. You had to press a button to start the cooling process again, meaning you couldn't store any perishable food in it. Pillows are comfortable. Cons: bed wasn't too comfortable. Maybe I'm just spoiled. Coffee maker had old water in it from a previous customer. We did not want to take chances and had to skip using it. Hand soap (and lotion) were locked on the wall, quite far from the actual sink basin. It was annoying to wet my hands first, then drip water all over the counter (that had our stuff on it) to just apply hand wash. Plus, it didn't pump very well, so sometimes I had to pump multiple times just to get enough for my hands. My partner's bedside adjustable light (by the pillow) must've been used enough to wear it out, for it did not hold the bend anymore. My side was fine. Wish there was an additional blanket for the bed. I get cold when sleeping, and I was shivering in the night. My partner was fine with the provided bedding. The hotel should be able to accommodate multiple types of sleepers, though. The walls are thin, so occasionally we could hear people in one of the nearby rooms when they were talking loudly. There is a train track nearby, if loud noises bother you. I have a train track behind my house so I didn't care at all. Also a side note, if you are expecting to take home any remaining shampoo/lotion/soap, don't. They're locked onto the walls in bigger bottles, refilled by the hotel. I'm guessing this is to save business expenses, but I've never seen this before and felt a bit jipped out of my hotel experience.
