I recently stayed at the Hamilton Hotel as part of a large group booking of more than 50 rooms, and unfortunately, the experience was disappointing from start to finish.
The rooms were extremely small, and nearly every request required multiple follow-ups before anything was addressed. Housekeeping never serviced our room on the first day, and on the following two days, they didn't arrive until after 3:00 p.m., only making the beds and changing towels. The bathroom floor remained filthy from the rain and mud we tracked in and was never properly cleaned.
The biggest frustration was the complete lack of accommodation for our group's schedule. We had transportation departing the hotel at 7:00 a.m. each morning, yet the restaurant didn't open until 7:00 a.m., meaning none of our group members had access to breakfast before leaving. It is hard to understand why a sales manager would book a large group and not make arrangements to ensure guests had on-site meal options that aligned with the group's itinerary.
Additionally, our evening events ran late, and when we returned at approximately 8:45 p.m., the restaurant refused to provide any service because it was preparing to close at 9:00 p.m. After long days of meetings and events, having no food options available was incredibly frustrating.
I will say that one young man with curly hair at the front desk was exceptionally friendly and tried to be helpful. However, even he failed to email my receipt as requested. I called the hotel again after returning home and was assured that my receipt would be sent within a few hours. I am still waiting.
Overall, the lack of customer service, poor housekeeping, and failure to accommodate a large group make this a hotel I cannot recommend. I would not choose to stay at the Hamilton Hotel again.

Stayed here for the weekend. Everything was okay until I called room service requesting a simple task, I just wanted ice because my gf rolled her ankle.
I was told there was ice on every odd floor and to go get it myself. I went to the ice machine on floor 3, it was broken. I called again asking for help because it was 2am and the machine I tried was broken.
The front desk told me, with attitude, they’d finally bring me some. They didn’t. I called again and they told me to go to floor 5 for some. Finally got my own and called again and they gave me even more attitude.
Terrible staff and bad experience. Paying for a 4.5 star hotel and beefing over a simple ice request is insane. Why stay here when you could elsewhere?

From the moment we made our reservation to the moment we checked out, the service at the Hamilton Hotel was absolutely outstanding.
Before we even arrived, we needed to add an additional adult to our reservation. The process was seamless, quick, and completely hassle-free. Upon arrival, we were greeted warmly and checked in efficiently—and even earlier than expected, which was a wonderful surprise.
The hospitality truly stood out. The bellman went above and beyond by helping my mother-in-law with directions to the White House. Not only did he provide a map, but he also carefully explained how to navigate the nearby construction, making it much easier for her to explore the city.
Once we settled into our room, we requested an extra bathrobe and additional towels for our son so he could enjoy the same luxurious amenities. Both were delivered almost immediately. The room itself was spotless, cozy, and incredibly comfortable. The bed and linens were top-notch, making for some of the best sleep we've had while traveling.
The location couldn't have been better—close to everything we wanted to see and do in Washington, DC.
On our final day, the hotel graciously held our luggage for the entire day after checkout, allowing us to enjoy the city without having to drag bags around. It was the perfect ending to a fantastic stay.
Every interaction we had with the staff was positive. They were friendly, attentive, and genuinely committed to making our visit special.
Amazing staff, beautiful accommodations, and exceptional service from start to finish. We would absolutely stay here again.
1000/10!
