We had a great experience here - the first ADA room we were given did not work with our patient lift (due to bed being on a wood box instead of a frame); but seeing the issue, Sundar @ front desk showed us other rooms & a rollaway option. Another room (136) with a beds & sofa sleeper worked great with our lift. We stayed a 2nd time on our return trip. All the staff were very helpful & everything was clean & in good shape. ADA needs can be challenging & they did a great job.
Owner needs to focus on operational logistics and competence. Simple things like providing sufficient towels to rooms based on capacity, emptying trash receptacles at specified intervals, providing more than one tiny trash can to a suite room with 3 guests, having more than one large trash receptive accessible to all guests so we can empty the tiny trash can in our room (and empty the general use receptacle if it’s overflowing with trash), leaving side entrances to the building accessible by guests via keycard so that guest parking is dispersed throughout large lot instead of bunched up together at front entrance. Spend some time at Marriott or Hilton mid-level properties and study how these corps make guests happy. I think this hotel’s chief concern is controlling guests and monitoring them. Hotel staff can monitor, but give guests impression that you’re in the background and available when needed, not in the guests face. Again, this is lack of experience and operational competence. Also, strong chemical smell is noticeable upon entering lobby and permeates hallways and guest rooms. I believe it’s from the carpets, which are already heavily stained in hallways and give immediate impression of poor maintenance and lack of cleanliness (even though they stink like new carpets). Tip to run a carpet cleaner at specified intervals in heavily traversed hallways. Hotel seems to be somewhat recently renovated, but ironically feels dirty. Didn’t even attempt breakfast, smells and dirty carpets killed appetite. Paid over $300 for a “suite” with a king size bed, good sized space but sparsely furnished (odd). Arrived in the later side, ordered DoorDash. Drivers are not allowed beyond lobby. When food arrived, received call on house phone and asked brusquely “Did you order food?” Well yes, I did. I was then brusquely asked to “come and get it immediately” and “we don’t allow drivers past lobby.” Well geez, thank you so much. Odd treatment for a room $300+ per night. An hour later, went down to lobby to get bottles of water. Waited while another guest waited for laundered towels and desk clerk debated him on how many he really needed (really?). Grabbed two bottles of water (Sam’s Club variety) from coolers and then asked clerk to charge to my room. Clerk refused as “there are limits on debit cards” — huh? That doesn’t even make sense. Rooms are not well insulated from sound. Thankfully we were on top floor and end of hallway, but noise was evident throughout night.
Net net: overpriced and not well managed. Chemical smell is overwhelming, and we will have to leave early as literally I’m starting to not feel well.
First off, I have stayed here prior to this visit and I enjoyed my stay which is why I stayed here again. But.....after driving 15 hours from north carolina, I was exhausted and just needed to sleep. I paid for an early check in and went to my room. Everything seemed fine until the person upstairs started banging and stomping around, this went on for the entire week, day and night, despite countless complaints to the front desk, one of those complaints being told to the manager, who basically told me the guest was just "walking" and if I didn't like it I could change my room. I brought a lot of things with me and had unpacked everything, plus was in the last handicapped accessible room and was not about to pack everything up and change to a potentially non handicapped room. So...in addition to the Broadway musical STOMP above my head, there was a family that started staying in the adjoining room from me that liked to stay up and yell til 4am. When I made complaints about them, they were told to quiet down, which they never did. One morning, after keeping me up til 4am, their alarm clock went off in their room and it continued to go off for 2 hours before someone finally shut it off. They continued with this nonsense for the entire week I stayed here. At one point when they were told they needed to quiet down and be respectful, the guest said if I didn't like it, I could leave......I COULD LEAVE?? So after a week of not getting much sleep, I now have to drive 15 hours back to north carolina.
Now as far as the room went..it wasn't the worst room I've stayed in, but there were issues. The king mattress would slide on the bed frame so everytime I sat down on the edge of the bed, I banged the back of my legs on the metal bed frame (see pics). In addition to the bed, the TV volume would cut in and out and was often pixelated. The lights in the bathroom flickered on and off and the walls in the bathroom were dirty in spots and hadnt been wiped down (again, see pics). As I was checking out, the manager asked how I was. When I replied "better now that I'm checking out", she had nothing to say. No apology. No kind of resolution. Nothing.
The next time I come up to visit I will have to find a different hotel to stay at, because it wont be here!

This was a same day booking and the gentleman at the front desk when checking in was very pleasant and accommodating. He upgraded us to a suite on the second floor which was nice. However, my daughter and I ended up having to sleep with headphones. We called the front desk because there was constant banging and pacing all night until at least midnight and then it resumed in the early morning hours. The person who answered said they would address but nothing changed. We are not very light sleepers so this was EXCESSIVE. Sounded as if there was a gym above us. Fortunately it was only a one night stay. The hotel is in a great location: easily accessible to highway, food and shopping. Our room was clean and hotel seemed well maintained.
THIS HOTEL IS HORRIBLE. There was ants everywhere, like infested, super dirty and even the fridge was infested. Even the phone to call was infested. Then we switched rooms and it still had ants in fact I had an ant crawl on me and that is disgusting. Shower was dirty, fridge was dirty, even the ice bucket was dirty. And the bed quite frankly had Brown stains on it, both of them. We literally had to clean the place our self just for it to still be dirty!! If I wanted a dirty room and ant infested place I would’ve stayed at the $100 total hotel not the one for $361 dollars. If im paying that much money I expect to atleast have a clean room. I informed the front desk again when I was leaving regarding the situation and if a refund would be provided and was told the manager isn’t here on the weekends. Horrible.
