  After driving from Toronto to Hartford to visit family for 4th if July, I was only here at The Best Western for approximately 7hrs. My cousin that also came down, woke me out of my sleep to advise me that he sees my vehicle which I just purchased 3 months ago sitting on milk crates. All rims and tires were stolen, a couple other vehicles were broken into as well. When I spoke to the front desk, one of the male workers (Juan) said the same thing happened about a week and a half ago. The other male (Juan) didn't seemed shocked at all. The manger did not reach out to us at all. This happened in the morning at 5:28 am, which was daylight. My vehicle was parked directly in view of the front desk, but at few aisle down. Now if someone was monitoring the cameras, perhaps they would have seen this, and contacted the police. When the other vehicles were vandalized, it was an hr before they stole my tires, and rims, only to come back and do what they did to my truck. So no one that works there, said they had any idea what was going on, out in the parking lot. The day I left, the milk crates that my vehicle was put on, are literally still sitting there. This place seems like it has people that may be living there in some kind of subsidized housing or something. The room had a horrible moldy smell to it. An epi pen was found in the room, where on of the children could has stuck themselves with. Not one of the employees were empathetic to my circumstance whatsoever! It's like this is the norm for them, or possibly, are in on it with these thieves. We did not see any signage anywhere that states they are not responsible for anything like this! No compensation for anything. I was basically forced to purchase tires and rims on the 4th of July, just to get my vehicle off this property. Some other people that were staying here, were more worried and concerned, other than the people that actually work here. I spent over $3000 for the tires and rims. Now I'm in the middle with insurance adjusters which is another nightmare itself.

  Dirty, rundown, terrible part of town, food on the floor in the room when we checked in. They tried to give our room to someone else in the middle of the night so they were banging on our door. Shower had mildew. The entire hotel smelled cigarettes and marijuana. Dogs were barking at a pet free hotel, total disaster. They gave us two towels for four people for two days and wouldn’t give us any more because there was a “towel shortage”. They finally ended up giving us two beach towels. Stay anywhere else

  I had a terrible experience at the Best Western in Hartford. The service was very poor, and it felt like they had no concern for their guests at all. Simple things like providing towels were completely overlooked. The most frustrating part is that they are still holding my refund. When I called to ask about it, they said they couldn’t even find my name in their system, which makes no sense and is extremely unprofessional. I would strongly advise others to avoid this hotel. Save yourself the stress and book somewhere else.

  Location is okay. Traveled here for a wedding We booked a room with 2 Double Beds, and upon arrival we were given keys to a room with 1 Bed and a Sofa Bed. We went to the desk to request the room we reserved and were informed that the 2 bed rooms were all fully booked, and that we were automatically changed to the 1 Bed with 1 Sofa. Host at the front simply offered linens for the sofa bed, and didn’t even offer as little as a Sorry for the Inconvenience. Bad business sense and terrible hospitality. 06/19/26

  If I could put 0 stars for a room I would. Booked a room here as we needed a nice place to stay for a weekend trip. Pictures looked great. Got to our room and nothing but issues, there was a musty smell and was not clean at all bed wasn’t made and still very messy. then I had requested a room change. Staff was extremely helpful and put us in a new room. But… New room had food crumbs all over and smelt very strong of pee. At this point we had already switched rooms so I requested a refund and the staff was EXTREMELY HELPFUL and refunded me. thankful for them. But DO NOT recommend staying at this hotel.
