  We booked 3 days at the Branford Holiday Inn in Aug 2026. The room was old and totally outdated. At night you can hear the people above us walking around all night. The fan in the bathroom didn't work so the bathroom was a sauna when you took a bath. The room coffee maker didnt work. The bathroom door was warped. Day 3 we lost hot water for most of the day. I don't really give negative reviews but this hotel earned it. The one positive for this hotel was the food prep woman, The Bradley Airport Holiday Inn is just the opposite. It's really nice.

  I am EXTREMELY dissatisfied with the services given at this hotel. My first complaint is the breakfast. Why is there NO pancakes and NO waffles, those are essential to breakfast in a hotel residency. My second complaint is the pool, there is no heating to accommodate for the absolute atrocities of cold climate before and after entering the pool. My third and final complaint is the elevator system, I had pressed the button, and had to wait, FOR 10 MINUTES, and they're always crowded; There needs to be better alternatives to these issues. Me and my family are very unhappy with these circumstances.

  The front desk staff was very welcoming, and good facilities including a small pool, gym, and laundry room. The room is big and cozy. Most importantly, it was quiet, and the blackout curtains worked very well. Although some items were a bit worn such as loose power outlets and a bathroom exhaust fan that didn't work, these were only minor issues. A very good hotel, I think it deserve 4-star rank, instead of 3 as listed on google map.

  The only toilet in our room became clogged. Instead of sending maintenance, the hotel handed me a plunger and expected me, a paying guest, to fix their toilet myself. I even had to carry the plunger back to my room. I paid for a hotel room, not to perform plumbing work. The room phone was broken, so late at night I had to repeatedly walk downstairs to ask for help because I could not call the front desk. We are a family of four sharing one bathroom, and we had to spend the night dealing with the odor and limited use of the bathroom. When I checked out around 9:00 a.m., I asked to speak with the manager. I was told Manager Samantha would arrive around 11:00 a.m. and would call me as soon as she arrived. She never did. By nearly 3:00 p.m., I had to call the hotel myself. She did not take responsibility or offer a meaningful resolution. My complaint is still under review, and the issue has not been resolved.
