  I love this hotel!!! The bed is so comfy, the showers are so nice and the rooms are big!!! I miss the comfort of the bed lol unfortunately, our Nespresso pods for coffee were decaf - yuck. Only downside on the morning we left. I blame the vendor. Please don’t stock decaf coffee pods if you’re ever out of supply! Just coming from a customer, we needed coffee bad leaving at 3-4am in the morning for our trek home. This hotel is outstanding overall!

  Not happy overall with our stay, despite the convenient location. Rooms were clean, daytime staff was friendly. Nightime staff was innattentive and focusing on lettng their girlfriend and their dog into the lobby rather than explaining any fees to us. Pillows are like air with paper on them, not comfortable at all, even when we asked for extra blankets and pillows, none were provided. I called ahead and asked multiple times during my stay but they waited until the last second to give us the bedroll that we requested for the third person. No one told us on sign in that there was a incidental fee or how much it was. I didnt get it back even though we left the room spotless with no incidents or charges. Ive reached out to management, no response. Walking distance to a lot of cool stuff. Resturant in the hotel is fantastic. Overall waste of money, will use an Airbnb next time.

  Unfortunately, the stay was quite disappointing. As soon as you enter the property, there is a strong smell of cigarette smoke. During our stay, one of the guests was also smoking directly in front of the elevator and using a newspaper as an ashtray, which added to the unpleasant first impression. The room itself had several maintenance and cleanliness issues. Most concerning, after removing the duvet covers, we discovered crumbs underneath the covers. We had to request a room change at around 11 PM, which was extremely inconvenient and unsettling, especially when cleanliness and fresh bedding are basic expectations of a hotel stay. The shower door would not close properly and had to be wedged shut to prevent water from spilling onto the floor. The toilet continuously ran, and the vinyl flooring was visibly bulging. The overall condition of the room suggested a lack of proper maintenance. To make matters worse, there was a dog barking throughout the night, making it very difficult to sleep and further adding to an already unpleasant stay. The building is clearly showing its age, which would be understandable, but the upkeep appears to be below an acceptable standard. On the positive side, the staff were friendly and welcoming, the food at the Famille restaurant was good, and the surrounding area is very nice. With better housekeeping, maintenance, noise control, and attention to the overall condition of the property, this could be a much more pleasant place to stay.

  I rarely leave a review this negative, but this stay at the Origin Hotel Westminster, a supposedly Wyndham hotel, was genuinely one of the worst experiences I’ve had at any hotel. When I pulled back the sheets, I found hair in the bedding not exactly the “clean and ready” room you expect for the price. When I asked for a replacement, a staff member brought out new bedding, but after unrolling it I realized it was still wet. I brought it back down to the front desk to show her, and to her credit, she seemed just as displeased by it as I was. Unfortunately, that same understanding didn’t carry over to the rest of the staff. The following morning, the staff I dealt with showed little to no concern when I brought up the issues no urgency, no real acknowledgment, just indifference. After all of that, the best they could offer at checkout was a $20 credit for what was, without exaggeration, one of the worst hotel stays I’ve ever had. For a Wyndham property, I expected far better standards of cleanliness and basic customer service. I would not recommend this hotel, and I won’t be staying here again.

  I’m writing this as I’m checked into my room. When we got in we were impressed with the hotel but looks can be deceiving. We got into our room and noticed that the heater was running on full blast. It was 100 degrees outside mind you. So we put the cooling system on to 70. It was sitting at 78 at the time. The cooling system wasn’t turning on. We called the desk and they sent maintenance up to look at it. He did something to turn it on for a couple minutes but then it stopped after he had left. We had things to do so we didn’t want to bother trying to call him back. Hoping that it would turn back on later. The room has a ceiling fan that we tried to use but the floor is so dirty and the room so stuffy with no real airflow so it was just moving dirt around the room and made my fiance sick. I got back to the hotel around 11pm and the room was still hot and stuffy. I was so tired that I didnt want to ask about changing rooms because that would mean id need to pack everything just to see if the next room would be good. I really didnt get any sleep last night because of how hot and stuffy the room is. There is no where for the air inside the room to go. When we checked in it smelled heavily of cologne. On top of all this our room is right between the elevators and ice machines so as you can imagine we were kept up all night by elevator bings and ice being dispensed. This is just truly a disappointing experience and I’m going to try and get a refund for this because I did complain about the AC and no room change was offered at the time. The only thing I was told was that “people are running them too cold so they’re freezing up.” Gee I wonder why…. Guest service 101, never imply the guest is the cause of the issue. It’s so infuriating. Avoid avoid avoid!!!!!!!!!!!!
