The property is beautifully maintained, the rooms are pristine, location is great, service was good. Food is not amazing but we thought it was pretty good, it’s expensive but the portions at breakfast were very large. Cocktails from the pool on the other hand seemed small for the price. We only stayed one night so I can’t comment on the spa and we did not have time to utilize all the amenities. I saw others saying they were not told about all the amenities when they checked in, and neither were we other than the spa, so I couldn’t even tell you what else there is for guests to take advantage of during their stay. Just a lack of the little touches you’d normally expect like learning your name, asking your pillow preference, welcome amenity, etc. so I took off a star for that, and also because it took a while for our bags to be brought to the room after checking in. Leaving a bad review because there are children is wild to me, as if this is an adults only property? There were some kids at the pool but it’s still a nice vibe, and I never had to wait more than a minute or two for someone to come around so I could ask for another drink or some food. They do contact you before your stay to ask if they can get anything ready for you so I suppose this would be the time to let them know about stuff like pillow preference or any other info that might warrant something personalized upon arrival, like they left a little cake in the room for my husband’s birthday but it was not very good so we didn’t eat it 😅 We went to The Hythe for a couple nights after the FS and I was sad to have left! Between the Hythe and FS I would pick the FS again, but we’ll probably try some of the other resorts in Vail Village first before returning.

The hot chocolate at Four Seasons was absolutely amazing! It’s easy to see why it’s considered one of the world’s best hot chocolates. Rich, smooth, and perfectly balanced, every sip was a treat. Highly recommended for anyone with a sweet tooth!

BEWARE‼️‼️ The food is REALLY REALLY REALLY EXPENSIVE and honestly not that good. There were only two restaurants open when we were there and places in the village were not open yet. We stay at nice places all the time and while we don’t mind paying for good food, the two restaurants were not it. Over $30 for a burger and also over $30 for a poke bowl (not worth it…very little tuna). 3 meals a day and we spent $100 more or less. Yes, this is the Four Seasons (we’ve been to a few) and by far this one was the most expensive one to date (food wise). The spa is wonderful (free use of the spa amenities as a guest) and the pool is nice but lots of kids. Not the place you want if you want peace and quiet. Also, when staying at a Four Seasons, you expect a little more service. It’s about the little touches and there were none. Being our first time in Vail and at the Four Seasons, they didn’t do anything special (in room amenities). They did leave two very small dog biscuits (we brought our dog). No mention about the complementary amenities or services. Nothing. I had to ask about it (s’mores). I personally like the service and attention to details better at the Four Seasons in Denver (better bang for your buck too).

Our stay at the Four Seasons Vail was an absolutely wonderful experience from start to finish. I cannot recommend this property highly enough! From the moment we arrived, the hospitality was unmatched. Every single staff member we encountered across the property was incredibly friendly, kind, and genuinely attentive. The valet team kicked off our trip with amazing service, and that level of care continued through every interaction. The property itself is beautiful—impeccably clean, warm, and highly inviting. Our room felt beautifully upgraded, luxurious, yet incredibly cozy, making it the perfect mountain sanctuary to return to each day. Housekeeping deserves a special shoutout for doing an absolutely flawless job keeping everything pristine throughout our stay. We also spent time taking advantage of the spa amenities, which were wonderful and a major highlight of our trip. What truly blew us away, though, was their attention to detail and proactive care. We had a really difficult time adjusting to the mountain altitude, and the staff went completely above and beyond by sending an altitude kit right up to our room to help ease our symptoms. That level of thoughtfulness is exactly why the Four Seasons stands out. We had an unforgettable time and will 100% be recommending this hotel to anyone visiting Vail. We can't wait to come back!
