  We enjoyed our one night stay so we could break up a 15 hour drive into two 7 ir 8 hr drives. Our ADA room was spacious, clean, and had bars in the bathroom around the toilet and in the shower. The breakfast the next morning was very good with make-your-own waffles as well as scrambled eggs, fried potatoes, and bacon/sausage and cerial, and fruit. Filled us up before we took off for our second day of driving.

  This hotel was the halfway point on our long move from Idaho to Texas. Due to several major delays, we got on the road much later than intended, resulting in us arriving in Trinidad shortly after we were to have checked OUT of the hotel! When it became clear we wouldn't make it in time, we called the hotel to extend our reservation another day so we could still stop and get some sleep. The great people at this hotel quickly grasped the situation and bent over backwards to help us. Rather than extend our original reservation like we had intended, they announced they had gotten permission from hotel management to bump our reservation forward one night, so we still got to stay at the hotel at no additional charge!!! 🤯 To top it off, they let us check in a full 2 hours earlier than they ordinarily check people in, and they put us in what is probably the nicest hotel room I've ever stayed in! I was blown away! So thanks to that miracle, we got to shower and sleep in a bed for the first time in around 29 hours, and it was wonderful! We slept until about 9 PM that day, got some dinner, checked out of the hotel, and set out on the second leg of our journey! I am so grateful for the staff at this hotel who made our trip possible!

  We were looking for somewhere to stay last minute because we were exhausted from our travels and decided to continue our journey tomorrow. So happy we chose this place - beds are comfy and it’s so clean and modern. We will definitely be staying here again :)

  This was a good stay overall, with many positives, but also several areas where communication and amenities need improvement. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the front desk was always manned, which made the stay feel supported. There was plenty of seating and parking, and the common areas had great seating options and beautiful lamps throughout. The large breakfast dining area was a big plus, and the location is excellent — most things are only a 5‑minute drive from the hotel. The room had several highlights: Comfortable bed and pillows Crisp, soft bedding and sheets Good‑sized in-room fridge Glass shower door instead of fabric (love this!) No coffee maker unless you request one, which keeps the room feeling more spacious However, the hotel was a little on the noisy side. The room doors (external hallway doors) don’t quietly close, which can be disruptive. The bathroom was a bit small, the bathroom door wouldn’t stay open, and there was no vent fan, which made the space feel stuffy. Breakfast was good, but the selection varied. The pancake machine broke on our second day, and almond milk was only available the first day. Also, there was no herbal tea. Toiletries need to be fragrance‑free for guests with allergies/sensitivities. One of the biggest frustrations was the hot tub. It was not available at all — fully under construction — and we received no notice beforehand. While this didn’t ruin our trip, it was part of the reason we booked this hotel. When guests book in advance and receive pre‑stay emails from both the hotel and IHG, unavailable amenities due to construction should be communicated ahead of time so guests don’t feel misled. Housekeeping also needs better coordination. We had a late checkout, yet housekeeping rushed us to vacate the room two hours early. If we had been sleeping in — which is the whole point of late checkout — we would have been extremely upset. There needs to be clearer communication between front desk and housekeeping so guests aren’t disturbed unnecessarily. Another issue: Before checking out, I verified with the front desk that our Greener Stay points would be applied. We checked out before 1pm on 7/11/2026, and as of 11am on 7/13/2026, the points still weren’t added. We had to email the hotel directly, because IHG customer service said the hotel must handle it. It’s frustrating when guests have to follow up on things that should have been completed by staff — especially when it was confirmed at checkout. Despite the issues, the hotel has many strengths: friendly staff, comfortable rooms, great common spaces, good breakfast, and an excellent location. With better communication and more consistent amenity updates, this could easily be a 5‑star stay.
