If I could give this place zero stars, I would.
The room itself was unacceptable, but what made this experience truly awful was how we were treated by the on-duty managers, Kirsten and Steven.
We arrived later in the evening and immediately noticed our room smelled musty and dirty. The bed had stained sheets with hair tangled in them, there was hair in the bathtub, and the bathroom had an empty toilet paper roll. We went to the front desk and politely asked if we could switch rooms. We were told the hotel was sold out, so no other rooms were available.
Steven, who identified himself as the manager on duty, apologized and offered to comp our room for the inconvenience. We never requested a free room mind you, this was HIS offer. He also had housekeeping bring us clean bedding, which we ended up changing ourselves. Unfortunately, even the replacement sheets were stained.
See photos.
At checkout, the situation became even worse. As soon as we mentioned that Steven had offered to comp the room, Kirsten immediately became defensive and dismissive. Both she and Steven denied that the offer had ever been made.
Instead of addressing our concerns, they insisted the room had been “spotless” and that they had personally inspected it after housekeeping. They even said that we had stained the sheets ourselves in an attempt to receive a discount.
We had photos documenting the condition of the room and had reported the issues immediately upon arrival, yet Kirsten continued to accuse us rather than acknowledge the obvious problems. She became increasingly rude, spoke over me while I was trying to explain the situation, and treated us with complete disrespect.
Mistakes happen, but it’s how a business responds that matters. Instead of taking responsibility, we were accused of being dishonest. I experienced terrible and unacceptable customer service.
I would strongly discourage anyone from staying here. Between the filthy room and the unprofessional, confrontational management, this was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had.
