  We traveled to La Junta from our home in Denver to attend a family member's anniversary party and having had stayed previously at a neighboring hotel, we thought we'd give this one a try. Out of the two, we'll definitely be coming back to this Holiday Inn. The interior was a stark difference from the exterior (which, in my opinion, could use some fresh landscaping and a tidier parking lot, perhaps adding a seating area for people to sit outside to prevent them from having to sit on a curb in the parking lot). It's fresh and updated, albeit small but it does what it needs to do! I was surprised by how spacious our King room was, with plenty of space for luggage. And the bed was wonderfully comfortable! Adjusting the temp in our room was easy and gave us a great night's sleep after an evening of dancing and fun. The bathroom was clean and not a speck of mildew was found. There was a slight issue with keeping the shower door closed as it kept sliding open, but perhaps it was user error? The lighting in the room was great, especially in the bathroom (making applying my products and makeup so much easier!). My only real complaint was lack of a full body mirror to be able to do one last outfit check before walking out the door. Check in was fast and the staff was very friendly and answered questions kindly. As I said before, we'll definitely reserve a room here next time!

  Although the hotel itself was clean and comfortable, and the breakfast had so many options, it truly was the staff that made the La Junta, CO location top notch. Absolutely EVERYONE was kind, courteous, and helpful. This is the second time I've stayed there and it was the same the first time as well. Thank you so much.

  If ever coming to or through La Junta this is the place. The staff here is incredible. There is nothing that I would change here. I would give nothing but props to the Holiday Inn Express in La Junta Colorado. Chefs kiss!

  I enjoyed a comfortable stay here and recommend it!! Price was a bit higher than expected; maybe there were pet fees, which is fine. If no one is there to greet you, go around the front desk to find a phone in the hallway to alert someone. Clean rooms, comfortable beds. Dog friendly! Friendly staff. Super clean breakfast and prep areas. Family-owned Mexican food restaurant very nearby gives discount to guests.
