  Nightmare at Kindred This was by far the worst hotel experience my husband and I have ever had. If you want to practice for a night of camping, this is the place for you. There is a continual cool breeze for ac or warm for heat. The two registers over the bed project with such force, that nowhere in the room is spared. The blower is so strong that a tissue on desk on the other side of the room blows off. No need for a hair dryer, the blower will do it for you. The thermostat never worked correctly - cannot set it with any accuracy. We could not get ac the night we got in. We planned to go to bed at 11:30 PM, but by the time the off-site maintenance man worked out the issues, it was 1:30 AM. The compressor behind a panel was so loud, it sounded like a jet starting to taxi down the runway. Because the noise from the registers and compressor were so loud, we had to adjust the tv volume up to hear over the noise. At 10:00 AM, we called for a late checkout. We were told checkout is at 10:00 AM and that they would give us a one-hour courtesy and that thereafter the charge would be $150 for an extra hour, and $250 for two hours. We had to pay the $150.00 You can't make this stuff up. October was off-season, and the hotel had few guests staying there. The food was terrible with high prices. We paid $45 for two bowls of cereal and two bowls of fruit. On a positive note, all of the staff were friendly and nice. There is no ATM available, as I like to tip housekeeping with cash. We sat down with a "front office" manager and shared the details, but don't bother with talking about issues, as all was unheeded.

  Stayed here for a quick girls night getaway. The staff is very friendly, the room was so comfortable and the amenities were fantastic! We grabbed cocktails at the bar, spent some time in the hot tub and then went back to the room and ordered room service for dinner. It was a perfect. The whole resort is cozy and inviting. I can’t wait to come back during ski season!

  ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Our stay at Kindred Resort in Keystone was absolutely rejuvenating, tranquil, and refreshing from start to finish. The resort itself is breathtakingly beautiful, and the level of service is truly exquisite. Every staff member we encountered was kind, friendly, and accommodating. They consistently went above and beyond to ensure every detail of our stay was perfect. Even the valet team exceeded our expectations with their professionalism, warmth, and attentiveness. The housekeeping staff is top-notch, keeping everything immaculate while making guests feel genuinely welcome, cared for, and comfortable throughout the day and evening. What made this experience even more special were the people. We feel so blessed to have met so many wonderful individuals during our stay. The entire team at Kindred Resort creates an atmosphere that feels both luxurious and heartfelt. The Kindred staff is truly unique and has built a one-of-a-kind community. Their dedication to exceptional hospitality shines through in everything they do. I highly recommend Kindred Resort to anyone looking for an unforgettable, tranquil, and refreshing mountain getaway. We're especially looking forward to returning during ski season, as the gondola is literally right outside the resort, making access to the mountain incredibly convenient!   Overall, this is a good, modern, and nicely updated hotel in a great location. Being right by the gondola and within walking distance of the shops and restaurants is a huge plus, and we really enjoyed the location. That said, for a newer hotel, there are definitely some areas that need improvement. The overall operation still feels a little inexperienced, and there were several small issues that added up. I arrived on my motorcycle while my wife arrived separately in her car. I specifically called ahead to confirm that parking the motorcycle would not be a problem and was told it would be fine. However, when I arrived, the valet manager gave me a hard time about parking the bike. They eventually worked it out and allowed me to park, which I appreciated, but it shouldn’t have been an issue after I had already confirmed it by phone. The AC in our room was also quite loud and didn’t seem to function as well as I would expect from a newer, modern hotel. A quieter and more user-friendly climate-control system, similar to a Nest-style thermostat, would be a big improvement. Another small but frustrating issue was the coffee machine. The capsules provided in the room were the wrong size for the machine, so we couldn’t make coffee. We were staying there for a wedding weekend, and the hotel was supposed to host an outdoor cocktail-style gathering the day before the wedding. The location was changed at the last minute, which was disappointing for the couple and guests who were expecting the outdoor setting. Overall, I still think this is a good hotel with a lot of potential. The property is modern, the location is excellent, and we enjoyed many aspects of our stay. It just feels like they still need more experience, consistency, and attention to detail. If they improve those areas, this could be a really great hotel.
