We had a wonderful stay at the Holiday Inn in Estes Park. Check-in was quick and easy, our room was great, and the hotel was very convenient to get in and out of while exploring the area.
A special shout-out to Greg at the front desk, who was fantastic from the moment we arrived. He went out of his way to see whether he could upgrade our room and also checked to make sure we were receiving the best available discount. Later, he was helpful again when we were doing laundry, letting us know where we could pick up some beverages and helping us with cups and whatever little things we needed.
It wasn’t one big dramatic gesture — it was simply consistently friendly, helpful service, and that really stood out.
Our room was very comfortable, we slept extremely well, and yes, I have to mention the pillows because I loved the pillows! 😂 A comfortable bed and good pillows can make or break a hotel stay, and these definitely helped make ours a good one.
Overall, this was an easy, enjoyable and comfortable stay, and Greg made it even better. Five stars from us, and thank you, Greg, for taking such good care of us!

A Wonderful Vacation, Unfortunately Overshadowed by a Billing Issue
We stayed at the Holiday Inn in Estes Park about two weeks ago for a family vacation, and overall, we had such a wonderful time. We enjoyed roasting marshmallows, swimming, and visiting Rocky Mountain National Park. We made so many great memories as a family.
Unfortunately, those happy memories are starting to be overshadowed by a frustrating billing issue.
I used IHG points to pay for our two-night stay, but the room charge was still charged to my credit card. I regret not asking for a printed receipt at checkout and relying on the receipt that was emailed to me.
As soon as I received the emailed receipt on the day we checked out, I called the hotel. I was told that the manager would look into the issue and contact me. More than a week passed, and I never heard back.
I eventually called again, and this time I was told that the issue would be taken care of within 24 hours. Unfortunately, I still have not received any follow-up or resolution.
It’s disappointing that such a small billing issue has taken away from what should have been wonderful memories from our family vacation. I’m not sure when this issue will finally be resolved, but the lack of communication has been very frustrating.
If you are staying here, I strongly recommend getting a printed receipt at checkout and carefully checking the charges before you leave.
I really hope this issue can be resolved soon. We truly enjoyed our stay, but unfortunately, this billing experience has left us with a very different impression.

I just left a review mentioning my distain for the charges versus what the room look like not to mention the extra amenity charge on top of the $175 hotel room charge. I stay at a lot of five star resorts. This was not a five star resort those resorts do charge amenity charges. If you are going to charge extra on top of the rooms and taxes and fees in city tax, I suggest the rooms be top-notch as in shampooing the carpets and fix the black dirt and mold in the recessed rigged, lighting fixtures in the bathroom and the smell on the shower curtain and the flooding in the bathtub and the stains left behind from previous guests I stay at this chain hotel in many states and they are perfectly fine and don’t charge extra fees. I won’t be staying at this one here in Estes. I will go somewhere else when I come here.

Wow, the front desk staff were very professional and the hotel lobby was very nice. The rooms leave much to be desired. I stayed in room 250 and it was not very clean. The microwave on top of the refrigerator had leftover food, the bathroom drawers were not cleaned and had something spilled in them, upon taking a shower the bathtub was clogged so water filled the shower and the shower curtain stank. Also there is a connecting door to an adjoining room, obviously locked. It looked like a dog chewed up part of the door, but maybe that’s where the door knob used to be. I’m not sure but it’s pretty tacky. I didn’t notify who appeared to be management for the cleaning services as I was leaving the room about the condition of the room. But what makes it worse is this room charge is not a.”you get what you pay for” my cost for the room in total was $175. Upon checking out because they give you a link for convenience the bill then said they charge me an extra $17 for amenities of which they never told me about and I went through a third-party and the third-party did not mention I find this to be distasteful. I’ve already paid this hotel enough where it said total, including fees and taxes, but then they secretly charge me more. I’m not impressed. Well, I appreciate the bonfires outside at night. The hotel rooms themselves and the insidious extra undermined charges are not OK. I stay Igh hotels in many states and they don’t pull this kind of distasteful behavior. Do better Estes IGH
