  For the price, this experience was disappointing. I would choose holiday inn express over this one any time. fan won’t stay on in the room so we hear every noise from the hallway and outside and without the fan the air gets stuffy in the room so not a good night sleep at all, which is kind of the point of staying at a hotel. no outlets near the bed. its 2026, people have electronics and hearing aids and even oxygen concentrators and there are only 2 available outlets across the room away from the bed. the usb and usbc port on the lamp have been used so many times apparently, that pieces are broken out of them and they no longer charge work. The bathroom has no exhaust fan So if one member of the party needs to take an early morning shower it better be a cold one. Otherwise you can’t get ready after you get out of the shower and you can’t get dried off because all the humidity and steam are just sitting in the room with nowhere to go. The toilet is disgusting looking. I don’t know if it is stained or it just wasn’t cleaned well. we haven’t even gone down to breakfast yet, but from the reviews, we may just go somewhere else. I would not stay here again.

  Super disappointed with this hotel. My husband and I booked and received confirmation for our stay over a month in advance. The day of arrival, the hotel emails me saying they cancelled my room and moved us to the Residence Inn across the street. It was important to stay in this specific location since my family was there and I planned to help my sister who has special needs and elderly father around town. Being in a different building was going to be a huge inconvenience. I tried to ask them book us at the Holiday Inn Express location, but the two hotels do not affiliate with each other due to different ownership, despite holding the same brand name. So many calls. They kept transferring and accidentally hanging up. It was just so annoying. I feel like they overbooked to make a quick buck at our expense. They did not offer anything due to this inconvenience. Just a plain “sorry can’t do anything about it”. Sorry doesn’t fix anything here. I’m just so pissed. I was looking forward to nice family stay. You’d think planning ahead could avoid such a situation, but nope. This just really sucks a lot and left me with a terrible impression of the town.

  Didn’t even get the room I booked! Drove 6 hours for excuses. No contact from hotel or Expedia. Trip planned and Holiday Inn said we have broken rooms call Expedia for help because we can’t help you. A/C or Heat didn’t work in the room they put me in and no water pressure from shower. Expedia says talk to hotel. Hotel says talk to Expedia. You shouldn’t work with Expedia if you have no communication between the two. Two dinner vouchers that were horrible. Two breakfast that came with my original room and that was horrible. Do not recommend. The lady at the counter says my maintenance team seems to not be able to figure it out. Hire new lead maintenance team and a new maintenance team at that. Terrible Experience! Still waiting on my refund.

  It's bad enough that they charge a $10 parking fee, when they are not even in town, but what makes me give a one-star rating is the blatant, egregious, and unethical gouging. How's this, you say? Looking at the receipt upon checkout, you'll see there is an ADDITIONAL fee per night with a crazy acronym. I asked what this was, and it is a capital expenditure fund for the hotel. So, any business will have capital expenses, such as maintenance, improvements, or repairs, which come out of the profits that a business makes. Not this business, however. They first profit from charging you for the room, which is fine, but then THEY EXPECT YOU TO PAY FOR ALL THE IMPROVEMENTS, REPAIRS, AND ADDITIONAL BUILDING THEY DO IN ADDITION TO THE PROFIT THEY ALREADY MAKE. Stay here if you like, but realize the owners are unethical, greedy gougers.

  Do not stay here with a prepaid reservation. This is the second stay where I have been double charged for my stay. The first time it happened I attempted to reconcile it with the staff and got nowhere. I then attempted to fix it through IHG Diamond Elite Support. Still no dice. My only recourse was reporting it on my credit card. Now I'm going to have to do it again. I'm not sure if it's sheer incompetence or intentional fraud hoping I won't notice, but it's certainly enough to make sure I never stay here again. Everything else about the hotel is fine, just don't attempt to book it through any third party sites as a prepaid stay or you will be up a creek without a paddle like me.
