- AVAmy VillatoroSep 22, 20264.0Wow! Pleasantly surprised. It was our first time in Durango and we booked through Costco. The hotel sit right across downtown and in front of the Animas river trail. We were able to walk just about anywhere. When we first arrived I was a little worried that the rooms might be dirty- it smells a bit like dog upon entering the lobby. But when we got to our room I was pleasantly surprised! Super clean. It did not smell like dog whatsoever, and the room was spacious. The only thing the room is missing is a full length mirror! There is a mini fridge, microwave, iron, and blowdryer. We booked the balcony with a river view. Definitely worth it! Waking up the the mountains was amazing. Would definitely stay again.

We wanted to check on early so our toddler could nap, and despite it being a very busy day for the hotel, Serena at the front desk not only made it happen but upgraded our room as well. Huge shout out to the cleaning staff too for prioritizing our room and enabling us to check in early!
