  We stayed here for three nights for our wedding weekend, and unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing. From check-in, there were issues. We received no assistance unloading our wedding belongings, and the bell cart was so unstable that items, including my wedding gown, were sliding off. Our daughter was supposed to use the pullout sofa, only for us to discover a note inside saying it was broken and not to use it. On my wedding day, the bedroom AC stopped working. After waiting nearly two hours for maintenance, we then discovered the toilet wouldn’t flush and the shower was overflowing. While I was showering, dressing, and getting ready with my bridesmaids and family, maintenance workers and a plumber were coming in and out with large equipment, including a replacement AC unit and plumbing equipment. My wedding gown was hanging in the room, women were in robes and undergarments, and what should have been a special morning became complete chaos with very little privacy. What bothered me most, however, was how supervisor Lydia handled my concerns at checkout. Instead of showing empathy, she appeared irritated and dismissive, even seeming to roll her eyes when I showed her a video of the unstable bell cart. Initially, we were only offered complimentary valet parking, which was unacceptable considering everything we experienced. Our hotel points were eventually refunded after I pushed the issue. Problems happen, but how management responds matters. For the price of this hotel, we expected functioning basic amenities and much better customer service. Unfortunately, we will not stay here again, and I would not recommend it for an important occasion such as a wedding weekend.

  I recently stayed at the Crowne Plaza, Ventura for a work trip, I travel often for work and this has to be the worst experience I've ever had. Within minutes of entering my room I was poked by a screw from a faulty door locking mechanism (picture below). Not only was it insecure it actually got me. When i requested a new room the service desk member with badge "Trainee" was very rude and condescending. Later that night after a long day of working I couldn't even get into the room because the door locking mechanism was dead. After being ASSURED they would fix the door the next day, i returned YET AGAIN to a broken door. The staff had no record of whether it would have been repaired upon my return and i had to go find out for myself. This is a total failure in service, i will NEVER stay at one if their properties again, this was a nightmare trip and it was only 4 days. Get your shit together.

  This was the worst travel experience I have ever had. Staying here should have been a pleasant experience, but upon driving up, I was immediately stopped by a valet attendant asking if I needed the service; when I politely declined, he reacted with visible annoyance. I didn't let it bother me, but I was told the free parking lot was on the other side of the street, so I drove over there. The free parking lot for this four-star hotel had no elevator, meaning I had to drag heavy luggage across the street just to reach the lobby and check in. I paid $220, yet the ocean-view room was poor and certainly not worth the price.

  When I came to check into the hotel, I found out I made the reservations for the following weekend. There were only three rooms available when I got here. I want to give a huge shout out to Matthew At the front desk. Matthew was able to not only secure me a room, but cancel my reservations for next weekend. My room is perfect with a view of the surfers in the water in the pool. Once I unpack, I can’t wait to go out and explore the area. Again, please give Matthew all the kudos at the front desk!

  Hi. I was disappointed with how my stay was handled. I originally booked one night and added a second night a few days before my stay. At check-in, the front desk confirmed that I was staying for two nights, but no one told me that I would need to switch rooms for the second night. After the first night, I left for the day with my belongings in the room. When I returned, my key card didn’t work, and I found out that my belongings had been removed from the room because it had been assigned to another guest. I completely understand that adding an extra night may mean staying in a different room. My issue is that this was never communicated to me at check-in. If I had known, I would have packed my belongings and planned to change rooms before leaving for the day. Having my personal belongings removed without my knowledge was upsetting and could have easily been avoided with clear communication from the front desk. I expected much better coordination and communication from the hotel.
