  We've stayed here before. As always, the room was clean and staff were amazing. Unfortunately the elevator is out of service and apparently has been for 3 weeks. This was not mentioned on the app or website at all. Our room was on the 3rd floor; after hiking at Yosemite, we weren't thrilled to have to haul our suitcases up three floors. The pool is also closed, which wasn't mentioned anywhere either. I'm disappointed in the management for not being forthcoming.

  Unfortunately, several issues significantly impacted my experience and did not meet the standards advertised on your website. Firstly, one of the main reasons I chose your hotel was the advertised access to the swimming pool and whirlpool facilities. Upon arrival, I discovered that both facilities were closed and unavailable for guests until December. This information was not communicated in advance and is misleading, as these amenities were prominently featured on your website. Secondly, the elevator was out of service throughout my weekend stay. This was not communicated at check in until I was heading away from the check-in counter to the room and I had to inquire the hotel staff about the broken elevator. As my room was located on the third floor, this caused considerable inconvenience, particularly when transporting 3 luggages and moving between floors. This should have been communicated during the check in process before the room key was assigned as it would have been more convenient to stay on the first floor. In addition, I was very concerned by the cleanliness of my room. During my stay, I found five bugs in the bathroom. This is unacceptable and raises serious concerns about hygiene and pest control standards. Finally, the water dispenser in the gym was not working. Guests using the fitness facilities should have access to drinking water, and the lack of this basic amenity further detracted from the overall experience. There were also no towels available at the gym. Additionally, multiple requests to charge the payment to my card prior to arrival was refused and no flexibility was provided even though other Holiday Inn Express properties in CA can do so despite the IHG early saver member exclusive rate which stipulates that the payment is charged between time of booking and day of arrival. E-mail was sent about the above to the hotel management during the stay but no response has been provided yet.

  Worst IHG stay I’ve ever had. We booked a non-smoking room, but it smelled like smoke. The hotel was sold out, so they couldn’t offer us another room. We checked out immediately and were promised a refund, but it never happened. It’s ridiculous that they charge guests a fine for smoking, yet still put us in a room that smelled like smoke.
