Staff and service were incredible, 6 stars for everyone we spoke with, they went above and beyond. The issues I have are with the facility.
Elevator inspection expired in 2021, meaning the elevator was last inspected nearly 6 years ago, and it looks/feels like it. Our entire party only rode it one time before using the stairs the rest of our 3 day stay. Every other hotel we were in had current inspection certificates and felt safe, this one did not.
The rooms were decent if not a bit grimy and the entire building felt dated and a bit dirty. Ongoing renovations during the day don’t help with that, but at least that was disclosed when booking the room on the app.
Overall it was fine if there isn’t another option, but maybe the Staybridge suites a bit further down the road would maybe be better.

I've been to other Holiday Inns and Holiday Inn Expresses and this was just awful compared to the others. Although clean, every other very aspect of the room was just extremely outdated. The bathtub has cracks and needs caulking. The overall room felt musty (especially the carpet) even though the AC was blasting. One of the lamps on the bedside table wasn't even working because the knob to turn it on/off was completely broken off. I am really not sure how this place has 4 stars.

Extremely disappointing. Door failed to open almost every time, and we had to replace room keys every day. Air conditioning was dysfunctional and when we asked the desk for a fan or some sort of help they shrugged and said there was nothing they could do. One night I asked for towels and they literally had no clean towels they could give us. Awful. At least there was an In and Out burger nearby

Short: will i book here again? Not likely, but would if I happen to need it. Its a bit run down, dirty, but the rooms are decent and clean with updated linens at least compared to roadside motels. Elevator needs major attention before somebody gets hurt.
Long story: We booked a 2 queen bed room. Very late check in at 2am tho, girl at front was nice. But first room had a sign not yet ready out from and was latched from inside so sorry to whoever it was jn there. Second room only had 1 king bed, not what we ordered, but she brought a cot. The ELEVATOR, legit scared us. The door scrapping harshly against the frame and when it hits third floor it did some scary cranking noise. We avoided it the elevator the whole time despite having luggage. The hallways carpet a bit dirty and some spots smell like weed. Room was clean though and decent.
Have to add, for the price of $70s, you get what you get. Its a little run down but bedrooms are clean and not smelly like some hallways.

Do Not Stay Here, Especially With a Service Dog
I stayed at the Holiday Inn Express Temecula on my relocation drive to San Diego as a Platinum Lifetime IHG One Rewards member. Unfortunately, this was one of the most disappointing hotel experiences I’ve had.
The elevator is very old and makes loud, scary noises every time it opens and closes. The room felt extremely outdated — the TV appeared to be 20 years old, and the remote didn’t even work for changing channels.
Check-in was frustrating. Despite my elite status, I was told I had to wait until 3pm and was directed to wait in the dining area. While waiting, staff kept dragging trash in and out. My service dog barked a couple of times at the commotion, but my wife quickly calmed him. Staff used this as an excuse to confront us, which was completely unnecessary and stressful.
The front desk also showed a clear lack of training on service animal policies. They asked for “ADA certified animals,” requested certification papers, and even asked if I had a service dog vest. I had to show them the actual ADA regulations before they accepted it. (Note: No vest or certification is legally required.)
As a frequent traveler with a service dog and long-time IHG Platinum Lifetime member, I expect much better. Everything about this property felt neglected and the staff unhelpful. We will never stay here again.
