  Sonora California was by far the worst Best Western we've ever stayed at! Do NOT stay there! Not only were the rooms questionable in cleanliness upon entering, today, I check our account and instead of our $100 refund we were supposed to get, we also have an additional $80 charge. We called to find out what that was about and they said and I quote... "there was a missing comforter"....!!! First of all, check your cameras and you can easily see everything we came in and left with and second of all, nobody wants that nasty thing! I felt dirty even having to sleep in it for one night! I couldnt wait to get out of that place in the morning but apparently the nightmare follows you. They said they would speak to the maid the next day and follow up with us. They did not call and they did not refund the $80. And here they are accusing US of being the thieves. Roll the dice with this place. It was not a nice stay but we definitely never anticipated being accused of theft and then also charged for something we never did. Its disgusting.

  I would have really liked to give a better review but we had numerous issues and attempted to address it with the manager Kate Pame. After four call back requests we have yet to hear back from Kate. Overall the hotel is not too bad but just not worth the money. There are many other places in the area to choose from.

  The room was nice overall but I asked for a quiet room due to health issues and yet I was still booked into a room that was at the base of the stairs and where an ice machine was station. MOST important, the AC was so loud that every time it kicked on it woke me up and every time it turned off I woke up. I tried the different settings but in the end I could only get 1 or 2 hours of sleep at a time. I did let the staff know when I checked out. She said she would look into a refund, but she never followed up.

  I walked in with a Migraine and left renewed. They even went above and beyond to make sure our stay was comfortable. Breakfast was ample and the gentleman attending made sure everything was available. The pool looked amazing but I wasn't able to use it. And as with most Hotels, the drain in the shower was clogged with Hair.

  Friendly staff and tasty breakfast did not make up for the paper thin walls. I know way too much about the strangers next door than I care to. Could hear every curse, fart, snort, and moan. The flimsy door between the rooms did not have a security chain and the deadbolt was wobbly. Hotel needs to upgrade the sound proofing between adjoining rooms. I felt unsafe staying there with my children. Room stunk from the smoking area right outside the window.
