Seems we too often judge lodging facilities solely on their physical aspects, perhaps overlooking their social or personal ones. This is a great place to drop your belongings and cares and just relax. The staff here at Best Western Scotts Valley is top shelf. They gotcha covered. I travel frequently for my employer so this comes from experience. It’s right off of Hwy 17 and there are restaurants and a supermarket within walking distance. What more do you need? Thanks BW SV. From one more happy customer.

Acceptable and clean rooms for an older hotel. Make sure you reserve a room off of the street. In the rooms facing Scotts Valley Drive. The traffic is loud and sleep is difficult. Bonus they do have a nice breakfast. Plus pleasant and helpful staff.

Spotted multiple bugs in toilet and restroom. Didn’t get room service even I requested in the morning. No coffee and cups replaced during our stay. Very expensive for the quality of the service.

Had an excellent stay here! The rooms were incredibly clean, quiet, and comfortable after a long day. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome from check-in to checkout. Great location with easy access to everything we needed. Highly recommend!

Avoid Best Western Plus Inn Scotts Valley if you value good customer service! Our youth baseball team stayed here for a tournament, and what should have been a fun weekend turned into one of the worst hotel experiences we've ever had. The front desk manager was aggressive and confrontational, repeatedly ordered our families into our rooms, threatened to remove us from the property, and called the police twice, even though the responding officers told us we were doing nothing wrong. Our children were frightened, and we avoided the hotel for the rest of our stay because we felt harassed. The hotel itself was disappointing: dark, hot, stuffy rooms with little air circulation, squeaky, flimsy bed frames, mediocre breakfast, tight parking, and poor overall service. To make matters worse, after checkout the hotel added unexplained charges to my credit card. I was initially told there was a $100 "complaint" fee, but after contacting Best Western Corporate, that charge mysteriously changed to $200. I still have not received an itemized receipt or any explanation for these charges. We have escalated this entire situation to Best Western Corporate Customer Care and are awaiting a resolution. If you experience similar treatment or questionable charges, I strongly encourage you to contact Corporate directly rather than dealing only with the hotel. We will never stay here again and cannot recommend this property to other families or sports teams. Additionally, we will be filing complaints with the Better Business Bureau (BBB) and any other appropriate consumer protection agencies regarding the unexplained post-stay charges and our treatment during our stay. ********** Reply to owner: We dispute the accuracy of your response. First, there were not three warnings given for "quiet times." Instead, hotel staff aggressively ordered our group to immediately go into our rooms when we were eating take out in front of our rooms because there is no onsite dining. The police arrived after all guests were already inside their rooms. The responding officers explicitly told us that we were doing absolutely nothing wrong. If there is any question regarding what occurred, I encourage you to verify the facts with the responding police officers. Additionally, hotel staff repeatedly called a neighboring family member on her personal cell phone while telling her, "We can see you outside," simply because her hotel room door was open. She was not causing a disturbance. The police officer also informed us that a hotel cannot legally prohibit guests from stepping outside of their rooms when they are not violating any laws or hotel policies. After the police left, staff again contacted another member of our group—a grandparent who was simply standing by his vehicle. This pattern of repeated monitoring and phone calls was not an effort to maintain peace; it was harassment of paying guests. To avoid any further confrontation, our entire team intentionally stayed away from the hotel for nearly the entire following day. We spent the day elsewhere, even remaining at a local fast-food restaurant until bedtime, solely to avoid additional interactions with hotel staff. Despite our efforts to avoid any issues, the hotel later charged a $200 fee that was never disclosed during check-in, in any hotel policy provided to us, or in any communication before it was assessed. Charging an undisclosed fee after the fact is unacceptable. Furthermore, despite requesting documentation on three separate occasions, I still have not received an itemized statement or receipt explaining this charge. Based on the facts, the $200 fee should be immediately refunded. I also request that you provide the requested receipt or statement documenting the charge, as previously requested multiple times. Your response does not accurately reflect what occurred, and I ask that you reconsider your position after reviewing the police report, speaking with the responding officers, and reviewing your staff's conduct during our stay.
