  Bedding could be more comfortable also shower water pressure could be better as well. Stayed here twice now but this time they charge for parking which is crazy when you are already paying for a room, so if I don't pay parking where am I suppose to stay? That's just straight up abusing of clients. Will not stay here again!

  Updating my post for more detail. The experience is not what u have experienced with IHG Rewards properties. Staff friendliness was non-existent, cleanliness was poor, odors in rooms and passage ways, paint chipping throughout the building, carpet in hallways warn out, luggage racks rusted and poor condition. Accessibility ♿️ i could barely get the provided luggage rack un and out of the front door; I can only imagine a wheelchair. $10 fee for daily parking - cash not accept at certain hours, told their was a $200+ smoking fee deposit, yet the room smelled like smoke and pet odor. Housekeeping service only done after a two day stay, fresh towel request sure but you have to get them and bring back the smelly towels to replace them. NO IHG member rewards welcome bottle water $5.00 a bottle... ill stop but I can go on and on.

  Stayed here for one night last week and chose it for its proximity to my family’s home. I assumed they made a mistake by charging me twice ($10 each) for parking, so I called them to ask. The front desk told me one $10 charge was for parking and the other for 2 waters. Allegedly the house keeping manager said it was for 2 smart waters, however, my husband and I did not drink any smart waters nor were aware of any waters provided in the room! I asked to speak to someone that could help me dispute this charge because we didn’t touch any waters nor were told anything about such charges at checkout, and they said no one was available to help me. I filed a dispute with my credit card and please beware of their scams. Also, I understand people make mistakes and if it was, I would be okay with it, yet being accused of something I didn’t do without trying to help is outrageous to me.

  Overpriced and Outdated — Friendly Staff, Not Worth It 3 Stars Overall The staff at Candlewood Suites Santa Maria were friendly and pleasant, and that was definitely the best part of the stay. That said, the property feels quite outdated and stripped down for the price. It is hard to justify the cost for an older hotel that does not offer much in return. Adding to that frustration, the hotel charges $10 for parking, which feels ridiculous given that there is plenty of free parking nearby. Overall, the staff were great, but the property did not feel like a good value. I would stay somewhere else next time. I love all you people.
