Only stay here if you like soft saggy mattresses. Other than that, the room was fine. You also have to pay 16 dollars per night to park there which I didn't know about and wasn't disclosed when I asked an agent about parking.

I will not stay anywhere else when I'm in Santa Cruz. Rooms are very nice, hotel is clean and inviting. Elevator from parking garage, which is a huge bonus. The price is always reasonable.

Convient location. Only good thing about it, everything else sucked. AND you have to pay for parking.

Not impressed with the lady at the front desk, and she should not be in a customer service role. No name tag, so I did not get her name. After the first night, went down for breakfast and coffee and the coffee machine was only displaying hot chocolate, vanilla latte or something. Another person staying there went to the front desk and asked for assistance (It might have been the same lady) and they did something to make it work and display all the coffee options. The next morning, the same issue happened and people were gathered around the machine. There was a line, so I went to the front desk for assistance. I asked if there was something wrong with the coffee machine and the lady said, "This is the first I've heard of it." I let her know that the same issue happened yesterday. She then said "We've been having issues with this new machine. Then I said, "I thought this was the first you've heard of it?" I caught her in a lie and she knew it. Her reply to that was, "Well, you know you can just get coffee from your room". with an attitude. I was pissed and decided that walking away from her was for the best. Definitely not going back there, just because of her.

Sad that the price doesn't include parking in their garage. There is very limited close to the hotel. Our room had been remodled nicely.Problems:(1)Air conditioner was next to bed and had to be done like the older ones manual. The thermostat on the wall was inoperatable.(2)Top drawer of dresser wouldn't stay closed.Had to wedge a piece of tissue in it.If you got up in the middle of the night you could very easily run in to it.Reported it at check out.(3)As with most older hotels bathroom silicone grout either needs to be replaced or bleached to get the mildew out.(4)The entry door frame was pulled from the main frame and the plate was loose.Looked like someone tried to bust in or open the door with it locked.Reported it at check out. Food:Had the "Egg Patty" with Keilbasa &Potatoes, Coffee, O.J., Apple Juice & Fruit Yogurt the 1st morning. It was okay. 2nd morning Scrambled Eggs with Link Sausage & Potatoes for hubby with Salsa & Cheese. He said the egg warm & cold after putting iced cold salsa on it & no microwave to heat things up.Ate part of it & then had a bowl of Cheerios.I had the Waffle & it was very good but no yogurt. Coffee and juices. 3rd morning Scrambled Eggs with Keilbasa & Potatoes. All was hot and hubby put the Cold Salsa under the eggs.Coffee, juices and yogurt. Finally had some type of muffin.Little dissappointed in the lack of pastries and the lack of switching the breakfast menu. All in all it was average. We were there celebrating our 37th wedding anniversary. They don't do anything special for people for that. Also, a little disapointing.
