Hotel is a very nice stay and well maintained for an older hotel. Was able to check in early (for a few extra dollars but totally worth it) Had a fabulous dining experience and highly recommend the on-site restaurant. Pearl was my waitress and is fantastic! Ask for Pearl and tell her Beth sent you! There is a shuttle to the port, and I'm getting ready to take that so no review yet. But I'm sure it will be great.

Lobby was the best part. Rooms are super old and we paid $300 a night. We’re on a roadtrip, bed had a mildew smell when we wanted somewhere to just lay our heads. They spent the renovation budget on the lobby and forgot to fix simple things in rooms like clean it before we arrived, fixtures were outdated and dusty never been cleaned. Above the bed there is unpainted and unsanded spackle sitting on the ceiling, which is really awesome to wake up to :/. Just a rough experience, thankful to have a place to sleep but $300 a night was not worth it for our stay.

We had booked and paid for a room in advance on pricline, which I have used for years and never had any problems. I go to check in for our 4 night stay. It took a moment for her to find out reservation, and then the front dest agent disappears in the back for about 10 minutes. She comes back with the manager and she proceeds to tell me that they told priceline they cancled our reservation (after checking with priceline they said they never received a notice on their end) and that they would not have a room for us for 2 of the days we booked. She said she worked something out where they would let me stay for the first two days but I would need to find another hotel. I don't blame the staff, they were wonderful with us. But someone on the booking side made lots of mistakes. I was not the only one scrambling to find another hotel, there were at least 5 or so others that also ran into the same problem, not all booking from priceline. We did stay for one night so we could find another place. Room was okay, AC unit was leaking water so thats was anoying. We ended up walking around outside the hotel in the evening and got charged at from acrossed the street by a homless person wielding 3 golf clubs around and screaming at us. We never interact with people, just let them be and mind our own business, but he was battling his own demons and thought we were some of them! Luckily there was a security gaurd who seemed to scare him off after checking around the area, he was great! We ended up getting a room at The Double Tree in San Pedro and wished we had just booked there in the first place. Also we had a great view or the boats while walking around and kinder interactions with other guests. Book a room at the Double Tree if you are planning to stay in the area. We're also still waiting for out hotel deposit and refund.

The service , the patience , the love they have shown me and my family for our wedding day was unmatched.
My in laws had my brother n laws graduation party in the ballroom the year before. They highly recommended Zulema and WOW , they lead me in the perfect direction.

As both a realist (with a touch of ADD) and someone who generally prefers luxury hotels, let me give you the kind of review that actually helps people make a decision.
I booked this through Priceline's mystery hotel deal for a Saturday during OC Fair season and multiple Long Beach events. Paid $160 for the room and $20 for parking. My rating is a solid 3 stars—and that's saying something because my hotel standards are... high.
First, this is an IHG property in San Pedro, not the Four Seasons in Beverly Hills. Manage your expectations. It's a working harbor with freight and cruise ships. Is the area rough around the edges? Yep. Did I feel unsafe? Not really. There are actually some great restaurants and bars nearby.
,
Parking is confusing. Drive past the hotel (or the fancy garage) toward the Enterprise sign, then follow the road into the self-parking lot. The first spots are valet, and anything in the sunlight belongs to Enterprise. The garage is dirty, smelly, and a little creepy—but for $20 in L.A. County, it's hard to complain. The valet staff, however, were fantastic.
Check-in was smooth thanks to Kevin, who somehow kept his sanity while guests repeatedly skipped the line because they "just had a quick question." News flash: you're not the main character. Wait your turn.
The hotel itself is older and definitely due for renovations, but the staff seems to be doing the best they can. The hallways and furniture show their age, and the shower controls deserve their own warning label. Your choices are: surface-of-the-sun hot, actual second-degree burn hot, or no water pressure.
For context, I'm the person who checks every hotel room for bed bugs before bringing luggage or humans inside, wipes down surfaces, and never walks barefoot. Even with that level of scrutiny, I didn't find anything alarming.
My first room had no towels. They arrived about an hour after I called. Later that night, the hallway and room absolutely reeked of marijuana, so I requested a room change. Room #2... also had zero towels. Another call. Another hour. Different towel delivery, same lack of enthusiasm.
The pool has potential, but it needs attention. The water was warm, murky, and felt oddly thick during a heat wave. My kids lasted about 20 minutes before even they were done. A little more cleaning, better water maintenance, and maybe asking the guy blasting gangster rap on his JBL speaker to use headphones would go a long way.
Would I stay here again? Only if I found another incredible mystery hotel deal. Now that I know what to expect, it wouldn't be nearly as disappointing.
Bottom line: if the price is right and your expectations are realistic, you'll be fine. Just don't book it expecting luxury, because that's not what this hotel is trying to be.
