  It's 630 AM on a Sunday. They have spent the last 30 minutes unloading what seems to be every tin can and glass bottle in a 10 mile radius into a truck with no DOT identification. They are then shoveling all these cans and bottles around creating a recycling symphony. This occurs multiple times per week.

  The hotel is beautiful, where it falls a bit short is the service, particularly at the front desk. I would still come back.

  My stay at The Huntington Hotel was wonderful .. Everyone I encountered provided exceptional service and was accommodating. The valet and front desk attendants were especially friendly and helpful.

  Stayed here for 4 nights. Not really a 5 star, wouldn't spend more than $600 a night. Service was great, bellman, doormen, front desk etc. Used Amex had a nice welcome gift. Ambiance of lobby bar and restaurant with design remodel was good. But rooms and amenities left a lot to be desired for 5 Star. Would visit just the bar/restaurant. Bedroom sheets are cheap poly, room cleaning was hit or miss it was like they were in a hurry (and we tipped each day), lobby restaurant didn't have matcha/coffee bar so best option was walk a couple of blocks or get full service breakfast, turn down service was basically just leaving slippers, the smoke alarm in the room blinked all night (right above the bed), hot water was really slow and bad one night. I'd stay here again, but would not pay top dollar. Palace Hotel, Proper and others for cheaper seem to be better experience/value in my experience visiting SF 4-5 times a year. Or spend up for 1 Hotel, Four Seasons etc.

  Top Notch. EXCEPT-The hotel needs hot water circulators! If you’re up early, you’ll receive a COLD shower!
