  My favorite hotel to stay at when visiting San Francisco. Everything is nearby including Chinatown, Union Square, The Tenderloin and Little Italy

  Good option in downtown sf if you need to be by union square. Service was great, front desk was helpful and there at all times. Room cleaning was offered every morning around 10am. Room we had was a Queen room was small but that's expected in downtown sf. No fridge or microwave in our room. There was an attached heater and ac but not central. Building was old but everything inside was nice. Bathrooms were very small that was the only thing i felt was too small. Parking was available for $40 a block down. There was an elevator in pruning garage so made it easy. Walls were thin so noise is a consideration. Would recommend staying here.

  I’m not sure why this hotel is considered a premier Best Western. The room was tiny. The air-conditioning was so loud kicking on and off we couldn’t sleep the first night. There’s no refrigerator, no microwave, no breakfast, no parking we had to pay an extra $40 a day to park our car, no amenities at all. The staff was accommodating, but weakly greeted us for three days with fake smiles, or their heads were buried in their phones. The neighborhood was iffy. Won’t go back.

  La primer noche no pude dormir nada, se escuchaban los gritos del cuarto de enfrente y el ruido de la calle, parece que las paredes están hechas de cartón. Bajé a recepción esa misma noche para ver cómo me resolvían y el tipo no supo ni qué responderme. Al día siguiente bajé a recepción, y única chica que habla español fue la que logró resolverme, fue muy amable conmigo

  I love this hotel - perfect place to lay your head. It reminds me of old Paris - nothing fancy but well taken care of, wonderful wonderful service by Edward and Camille, cozy beds and they love dogs! My room has a double bed - it’s tiny but for one night w my pup, I’m very well taken care of. The bathroom is clean with big towels and perfectly fine products - I even trusted my thick hair to their conditioner and loved it!!!!! It has a nice shower with sliding heavy glass - I just love it here. There’s charm, which is hard when you’re on a budget but also have high standards. In a world where everything is overdone, glossy and corporate the Cartwright offers comfort, kindness and love for animals:) I’ll be back for sure 🐶
