It was a cosy hotel in a great location. Walking distance from fisherman’s warf. Rooms had basic amenities and ours was a small room, although I would have liked to have a Nespresso machine in the room. But the hotel did offer complimentary coffee in the lobby until 10 AM.
The bar and restaurant reminded me of a london pub, which was charming.
The outdoor patio had fire pits where you could enjoy small bites and a glass of wine in those cool San Francisco nights.
My hotel room, ‘superior king’ feels tired and a bit dingy. I was left with a sinking feeling when I opened the door and realized we’d be spending the final night of our vacation here. I would definitely choose somewhere else next time. Also, $65 valet overnight parking :(
Also minor cons: 1 full size bath towel allocated to the room, WiFi did not work and hand towel had random stains prior to use.
Pro: close to Pier 39, if you like touristy, boardwalk vibes.

I want to start by saying this hotel is 3 stars at best. It is absolutely not a 4-star hotel.
Parking: I would have been fine paying the $65/night valet fee, especially since self-parking is not an option. However, the additional $9 parking tax felt like overkill. At check-in, we were only told it was $65/night “plus parking tax” without being told the actual amount. Finding out afterward that it was another $9/night was frustrating.
Amenities: There is no pool, jacuzzi, or gym. The hotel advertised gym access at a sister hotel across the street. The front desk kindly gave us an access card and told us to try our luck, but there were no guarantees. Of course, it didn’t work.
The complimentary morning coffee was also awful. Additionally, the shower water came out very yellow for the first few seconds when turned on, which was concerning.
Location: The one major benefit is the location. It’s a short walk to Trader Joe’s and the Wharf.
The staff were very kind and friendly, and I do give them credit for that. Unfortunately, that doesn’t overshadow the other issues. I’ve stayed at multiple legitimate 4-star hotels, and this was simply not one of them.
I will not be returning.

Booked this hotel through Chase edit due to its location, close to Fisherman’s wharf. The location is perfect, everything else, terrible. Front desk check-in staff was unprofessional & had no info on the “edit” perks. Room, run down and old, bed, worn out, rust in bathroom and overall, not what I expect from an “edit” booking. I left the hotel with terrible back pain after sleeping on the mattress for three nights.
I had a great staycation here using my Chase Sapphire Reserve Credit on The Edit.
I enjoyed the late checkout after checking in availability and since I had to take care of matters prior (last minute packing) I checked in the regular time at 4pm.
Things that I loved:
1. The free smores kit provided daily after 5pm.
2. The free promo code with 1000 rides from Zybra Plus app. Free daily up to 1 hr with credit card input.
3. The 2 free daily continental breakfast, I tried their French toast, Greek yogurt, and their delicious mushroom omlette. All decadent! Servers were phenomenal!
4. The $100 property credit I used at their restaurant Pescatore! Gotta try their milk clarified drink.
5. The Hyatt Centric pool and fitness access since Hotel Zoe didn’t have a gym they have a partnership.
I want to shoutout Diana for the kind and friendly service she provided me checking in and Ben who was very helpful and greeted me daily and helped me with my first use of the Zybra Plus bike!
I look forward to future stays here and highly recommend others to too! Despite the hefty $600+ price tag with my $250 credit and $100 property credit! It was so worth it.
One star knocked off for the peculiar sculpture in the courtyard and the absence of a welcome gift.
