  Well this place is as bad as the reviews say. The first night there was a party next door to me, and the walls are paper thin. There was a woman screaming until past midnight. I called the front desk and it seemed like they did nothing. I got very little sleep before an important meeting. The second night I was awoken at 4:00am to a screaming baby. I can’t exactly call the front desk to silence a baby. The walls are incredibly thin here. I went to the counter and asked if they could cancel my bill for the next night or do something about the room location. They said I had booked through booking so there was no way to cancel. They also refused to move me rooms. I went to booking as I’m aware they can refund my cancellation without charging me if I request it there. I sent the request explaining the situation and wouldn’t you know it, they refused to even discount it. I’m still leaving. I’ll pay the 200 dollars to not sleep in this hovel. It’s a great location for a terrible hotel run by greasy liars.

  This place is terrible. Poorly maintained and absolutely no soundproofing in the walls. You can hear your neighbor moving in bed. They dont honor your online bookings. They put us in a room with “full” sized beds. They we pretty much twin. There are better hotels for less. It’s San Francisco. Just walk like a block.

  We had two rooms in conjunction with a procedure at CPMC and had to keep adding days to one of our rooms. The front desk was so helpful each time, managing to keep us in the same room from the whole time. The parking garage is pretty tight, but a necessity in downtown San Francisco. The views of the City are beautiful and the west-facing rooms have great sunsets.

  Spent 5 nights here and had my expectations exceeded considering past experiences at Holiday Inns. We showed up 3 hours early to our check in but the front desk (special shoutout to Tony) was nice enough to find us a room on the 14th floor to get us in early. Only complaint about the room was the antenna on the TV was spotty so watching the World Cup was a bit of a struggle. Fitness, pool, and laundry were all on the 6th floor. Fitness had cardio machines, one cable machine, and dumbbells but were enough to get the job done. Didn’t use the outdoor pool but constantly saw other guests using it. Laundry was $2.75 a cycle and used it once, no complaints there. Location was very nice being on Van Ness, had some good restaurants within a manageable walking distance. Only negative was it being near the top of a San Fran hill (gotta get in the cardio somehow). Trader Joe’s and CVS 5 minute walk away and gas station across the street. Parked car for one night, ran us $49 (ouch) but parking was easy enough. Definitely will stay here again next time I’m in SF.

  My experience at the hotel was a mix of positives and negatives. On the negative side, the hotel’s deposit policy did not feel fair, as they charge $100 per night without clearly stating the refund timeline. Also, the family parking spaces were too small and not suitable for large SUV vehicles, which was inconvenient. In addition, the swimming pool needs better cleaning, and basic amenities such as slippers were not provided, with drinking water only available for purchase. On the positive side, the room size was good and comfortable, and the services provided were nice. Overall, the experience was average and could be improved.
