  Unfortunately I had an underwhelming experience at this Holiday Inn Express. One of my favorite things about the HIE is the cinnamon rolls, which were substituted with something else (not anywhere near as appetizing) during my first morning. I was hoping that they would have the cinnamon rolls during my second morning, but instead the woman working at breakfast stated in very broken English she had no key and couldn’t open the milk/ yoghurt refrigerator or turn on the juice machine. After several guests asked her about the inoperative items she decided to close breakfast at 0830 on a Saturday morning and took away the remaining items from us, stating breakfast is now closed. As far as the property, the room was quite small (not surprising for downtown) and lacked a refrigerator and microwave as found in most HIE’s. The view from my window was a sliver into an alley that looked towards the street, and the room was definitely not the most soundproof. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The front desk staff were friendly, however after the incident with breakfast I’ve decided this will be my last time visiting this property.

  Decent rooms. Very loud children and being next to the breakfast room was not great.
