  The staff at this location, were some of the most welcoming people in San Francisco, not once did I ever see them stress, they handled everything professionally and the service was immaculate, definitely planning on returning to this location, front desk associates were very welcoming and professional

  To Angel Wright and Janet Wruck, hotel management. This hotel is exceptional! You definitely deserve the Two Michelin stars they earned. The room view is spectacular. We have a suite with windows facing the Transamerica building and San Francisco Bay! The king size bed is extremely comfortable and the pillows and bedding are heavenly. I am definitely ordering the pillows when I get home. The bathroom is well situated. The room is spotless. There are too many amenities to mention. Far and above one the best hotel I have stayed at. Everyone who works here is so nice and friendly and can't help you enough. Dan Slavin warmly greeted us everyday opening the door and giving us directions! The front desk receptionist Lakysha and Sophia were wonderful at check in and Lakysha offered cold water to me right away because she could see I was winded from walking from The Ferry Building with my luggage. Dean at concierge was very nice and very helpful for tours and information on restaurants. We were lucky enough to book for Fleet week and enjoyed the Air Shows on Saturday at the Piers and on the terrace on the 40th floor of The Four Seasons Embarcadero. The seats are heated and a dream after walking a lot and it can be a little cool on the 40th floor. The rooms are also pretty soundproof. Everyone we encountered was wonderful. Our room was immaculate. The housekeeper, Mia gave us extra coffee pods and water and directions to Cinatown. Even, room service was phenomenal! I highly recommend this hotel for your stay in San Francisco.

  5 🌟 all around. We came here for our anniversary. Pulled up, Valet went out of his way to take empty cups and offer to dispose of them. At check-in, the hostess was super attentive. We mentioned 4 kids at home, the hostess, went out and brought 4 souvenirs for us to bring home to the kids as gifts. Another thing stood out, my wife and I came back to the hotel at 11pm to enjoy dessert. The hotel restaurant was closed. She mentioned she wanted milk, the waiters went out and brought her milk without going through the process of room service. Superb service, Felt warm and welcome from check-in to check-out. Will definitely be back.

  This is my fourth Four Seasons stay in as many weeks, and by far the worst experience I’ve had at any hotel in recent memory. I spent the beginning of the week at the Four Seasons Napa Valley where it was clean and comfortable and the service was superb. I should have ended my trip there and gone home. After a long day of touring San Francisco I arrived at my room at the Four Seasons San Francisco at Embarcadero. The room was filthy. There was head and pubic hair absolutely everywhere. The toilet area had both fresh and dried urine all over the floor. The towels had hair on them. The chaise lounge had a mystery stain on it. The bed sheets were wrinkled and had not been changed from prior guests. We called down to front desk staff to inform them of the state of the room. They claimed they would move us. After waiting thirty minutes with no update, we called back, and were finally escorted to a second room. We had ordered room service which was sitting in the hallway when we got to the second room. The food had been transported to the room uncovered, which is unsanitary. All of the cold items had come to room temperature. Upon entering the second room we noted more hair everywhere, including on the sheets. At this point, we realized that the lack of cleanliness was not an oversight, but is standard operating procedure at this location. We decided to leave the hotel and go stay elsewhere. To add insult to injury one of the two elevators was out of order and we had an extended wait time to even get downstairs. We had to pay additional transportation fees, and increased rates for a last minute room at another hotel. The front desk staff at the Four Seasons San Francisco at Embarcadero were not helpful in any efforts to right their wrongs. I am sad that an otherwise beautiful vacation is coming to a close on a sour note.
