I want to thank Cameron (Cam) at the front desk, Rami at the AMAZING restaurant Ofrin downstairs, and the wonderful valet team. It’s been 2 weeks since I stayed here, but they made my stay so memorable that I remembered their names as I’m sitting here back home in Oklahoma thinking about my time there. The team absolutely set a new standard for me when it comes to a luxury hotel experience. This is the ONLY place I will stay in SF in the future. Cam and Rami specifically deserve huge props from Four Seasons Management. God bless!

Best views in SF!
Every staff member from the door to the front desk, concierge to housekeeping was top notch!
Restaurant isn’t nearly up to the standard set by the hotel and I definitely wouldn’t recommend having a meal there; but, as long as you stick to breakfast and cheese plates, the 24-hour room service is very serviceable.

Not Worthy of Its Reputation!!
My experience at Four Seasons Hotel San Francisco at Embarcadero was deeply disappointing.
Is this truly a property associated with Michelin-level recognition?
The room was clearly not prepared prior to check-in, with visible dust and heavy buildup beneath cabinetry—severe enough to trigger allergic reactions and breathing discomfort. Even after a second cleaning, the issue remained.
The situation was further mishandled by bringing a security guard into a guest interaction, which felt intrusive and intimidating.
While compensation and upgrades were offered, they do not address the core issue: at a Four Seasons, excellence should be the starting point—not a recovery effort. If such conditions are considered acceptable, they should be clearly stated at the time of booking.

We had an exceptional stay at Four Seasons Embarcadero. I called a few days in advance to make some arrangements and explore room types that would be best for our family. Stacy was very helpful and accommodating and arranged everything perfectly for our stay. Upon arrival after a long travel day with young children, Stacy and other team members were welcoming and did all they could to reduce our stress levels at check-in. We and our kids were blown away by the kind gestures they provided for the kids. It was nothing that we expected and was so appreciated. We all felt welcome, spoiled, and we couldn't believe they even had a children's bathrobe in the room.
Throughout our stay, everyone was so helpful and accommodating. During a rain storm we asked the front desk about board games or puzzles. They didn't have any, which was no problem, but they went out of their way to order a game for our kids to play and had it delivered to our room. If that doesn't say above and beyond, I don't know what does. A shout out also to Rosemary and Jorge who were kind and helpful throughout our stay.
This was the best service of any hotel I've been to, I can't say enough. In addition, the views from our 47th floor bay facing room were simply stunning. It was magical walking across the sky bridge from the elevator to our room each day. I miss that view already! The room was nicely outfitted, very clean and updated and housekeeping and room service were always reliable and top notch. I can't say enough great things - this stay was above and beyond.

The Four Seasons Embarcadero delivered on every expectation. Through FHR we were upgraded to a stunning bay-view room on the 48th floor, with a sweeping panorama of the Golden Gate Bridge — easily the finest view we've encountered across all our San Francisco stays.
Worth noting for first-time guests: the hotel occupies roughly floors 38–48, so it's a boutique property by Four Seasons standards. This is reflected in the single restaurant and a lobby more intimate than you might anticipate — but neither felt like a shortcoming. If anything, the scale lends the place a refined, unhurried atmosphere.
Staff were consistently warm and professional. Dining was excellent — food quality was high and service both prompt and polished. The location is a genuine asset as well: a short, pleasant walk to the Embarcadero piers, in a stretch of the city that feels noticeably cleaner than many other SF neighborhoods.
For travelers who prioritize extraordinary views paired with an intimate luxury experience, this is an easy recommendation.
